I, too, will be at the legislature on June 2nd, representing GRNC once again as we petition @ncspeakerhall to call the override vote for SB50 and finally establish North Carolina as a constitutional carry state.

Gm, We have been asked if we will be in attendance for this event, we sure will. It is not our event, we don’t know much about the Veterans Council, but with this many #Veterans in attendance - we dont want to miss it.

Are we cheering on mass surveillance as much as we could be?! #ncpol

Yeah, I see what you’re talking about. So, read through the bill and saw all the language changes “speed instruments” to “traffic monitoring”. Not good. The first part is different than ALPR/license plate readers/Flock cameras. The “Intelligent Speed Assistance”, or ISA, devices are small aftermarket cards that connect to your OBDII port. Similar to a throttle modulator people put in diesel’l trucks or rice burners to gain horse power. They use GPS and digital maps to know exactly where you are and what’s the speed limit is right then. The unit plugs into the OBD II port under the dash and wires into the gas pedal; if you try to push past the limit, it just eases back on the throttle so the car won’t go any faster. Closed loop, data transmitted like a phone. Now the language at the end with school “monitoring systems”, as it’s currently written, starts opening it up for the addition of FLOCKS and other state funded passive collection devices. Changing the language gives them that door, from speed measurement to monitoring. Isn’t interesting how they always start with the intention that they are doing this for the safety of kids or school zones? Surprise, it’s another NCGOP led bill for ‘our safety and security’ that gets marked up in committee for the establishment of the surveillance state. I just don’t know how people don’t see this hypocrisy. @ProsperCLT2023

As North Carolinians, we should be interested in seeing where ballot selfie case goes, As Libertarian & candidate, I'm livid the State would consider our freedoms prosecutable. Hogarth v. Brinson Bell - Verified Complaint fire.org/research-learn… via @TheFIREorg #ncpol

This is exactly what guys like John Boehner and Paul Ryan used to say. It was a false proposition then, and it’s false now. A member of Congress’s team should be the American people. It’s those they represent, not a political party or a man. And the partisans in Washington consistently work together against the interests of Americans everywhere. The war isn’t between Republicans and Democrats. It’s between those who love liberty and those who love power. MAGA, Inc., is just the same old political establishment—but now they use Trump as a shield for violating your rights and abandoning the Constitution.

I know the loudest politics accounts are new here. Your low effort idealistic takes are adorable. But let me give you a brutal dose of cold reality having done political commentary for 2 decades: Politics is a war zone Pick a team and fight Betray your team, lose This is war

Nearly 12,000 habeas cases filed is a staggering amount, something not seen in generations. And for the government to lose 86% of the time, in front of hundreds of judges appointed by every living president, is a sign of just how much ICE and DOJ stretched the law until it broke.
Kyle Cheney@kyledcheney

NEW: We've spent 10 months tracking the outcomes in tens of thousands of lawsuits brought by ICE detainees amid an unprecedented detention push. It's not a cose call: judges have ruled more than 10,000 times against ICE, a 9-1 ratio. See the database: politico.com/news/2026/05/1…

Nearly 3 in 4 people booked into ICE detention in 2026 had no criminal conviction. Only one in 17 had a violent criminal conviction. There is a disconnect between the types of people DHS highlights and the types of people DHS arrests.
