Well I'm kicking myself for not putting Drew Allar in my final mock draft. There was plenty of smoke on the team taking a mid-round QB. They wanted a prototypical "AFC North" passer. He's the guy - with a lot to clean up - by Mike McCarthy and Tom Arth. #Steelers

Im not even sure where people wanted the Steelers to trade up to. They tried to get to 15. Bucs said no because Bain fell. Nobody traded out of next 4 picks bc they didn't want to Cowboys got more from PHI to move back further. Steelers should have overpaid? Given up 3rd + 4th?

I think folks are putting way too much weight into this. Happens every draft. It’s part of the gamesmanship and strategy of the event and frankly, there is nothing the Steelers could have done to prevent that. Who in the world would think a team would aid a division rival by giving them a chance to draft a high end player that they will have to defend? Lol

@FrankyBigTime @MinkahBurgh39 Of the 4 Super Bowl teams shown on there, 3 had below average offensive lines. Why is this hard? You don’t need to invest 20 picks in top offensive and defensive linemen to win. A few great OL and one or two great DL is all you need. This team is unbalanced with talent.

Hint: basically 0 Building through the trenches before acquiring skill position players that have the potential to be elite helps those skill position players actually become elite.

@FrankyBigTime @MinkahBurgh39 Here's a plot that shows you - if you don't have an elite QB or a dangerous offensive weapon, it doesn't matter how great your O-line is, you don't advance past the divisional round, and even getting to the playoffs is uncommon.

So could I - 2024 Commanders, 2024 Vikings, 2024 Bucs, 2024 Packers, and (if we're not going to count C.J. Stroud as a top 4 QB), 2024 Texans. This is not a hard exercise - you don't *need* a dominant OL to be Super Bowl contenders, nor do you need a top 4 QB. You need a severe mismatch you can exploit.
