Millennial Western Anime fans needs to realize sooner or later Haruhi wasnt very good. Its fun and alright, but its not classic. You watch them during that anime season, but you dont go back and rewatch them again and again.
Only footprint it left was the catchy song, and it ignited western fans. And the fck problem 4chan solved.
Objectively, this isnt the classic you think it is. You just got introduced to this early in your fandom.
Even among Japanese, the contemporary series Gintama, Full Metal Alchemist, Inuyasha gets mentioned even today as great anime, but Haruhi is way down the list. Its mostly "oh, yeah, that anime existed too"
The author of original novel couldnt even finish the story and abandoned it for decades.

That wasnt the problem. The biggest problem with James Lindsay was he called everyone who is doing basic politics as "Woke Right" on the ground that they are using "friend-foe" distinction.
The spectrum that is so broad to include everyone who is in political sphere.
Then he spent 6 months calling quite everyone crypto communists if they used a term, a phrase, or even appeared next to a symbol used by a communist somewhere someplace in the last 100 yrs. This included quite literally everyone, and with this power to designate "Woke Right" he basically called every Right wing figures, including Glenn Beck, a crypto commie. This distinction was so broad to be utterly meaningless especially when he himself used "friend-foe" distinction as well.

I like how people objected to @ConceptualJames calling the Woke Right "woke" on grounds that wokeness was strictly a left-wing phenomenon, only to have people on the Woke Right now say they oppose the Republican party and are voting Democrat.

Former Square Enix business director Jacob Navok says the company missed a huge opportunity by not following the free-to-play live service model that made Genshin Impact a global success.
Navok said Square Enix “failed to capture a new generation of players” because it stayed focused on traditional full-price game releases while the industry moved toward free-to-play ecosystems built around long-term engagement.
He believes the company should create “modern ongoing free-to-play games” and explore bigger crossover ideas, including collaborations between Final Fantasy and K-Pop.
Navok also said “excessive internal bureaucracy” slowed the company and made it harder to adapt to changes in the gaming industry.

They were able to do this during 2020 to 2025 before streaming bubble busted. Ratings didnt matter, and they can have all their friends giving them rimjob in the paid for article in Vanity Fair. Not anymore. This is why you slowly see them adept the MINIMUM tolerable threshold: getting costume right.
