A public option: - is still insurance-based - costs more than our current system - leaves millions without coverage - leaves healthcare unaffordable for most Medicare for All: - covers everyone - saves families money - creates jobs - expands coverage - cuts spending - eliminates copays, premiums and deductibles. Anything short of universal healthcare with Medicare for All is fiscally and morally irresponsible.

Had a 45-minute conversation with my 15-year-old son tonight about abortion. He came in hot with “there should be restrictions.” So I went hard. Not to bully him — to build him. We talked about bias. About whose body we’re actually discussing. About what it means to hold an opinion on something that will never, ever affect your body. I asked him to look up the stats. Read the actual data. Then come back and finish this sentence: “I’m a man, and I should have the final say over a woman’s body because…” He couldn’t finish it. That’s the point. He’s 15. He’s allowed to be wrong. What matters is that he’s willing to think — really think — not just echo what he’s heard. Raising boys who become men who understand bodily autonomy isn’t optional. It’s the whole job and now I’m tired because he gets these opinions from kids in school. Gawd.

@firagawalkwthme Trump wasn’t merely a reality tv personality was he? You’re being dishonest. I don’t care if anyone likes him or not but truth matters. Pratt IS inexperienced and would be in over his head but he’s a symptom of the frustration of people not listened to by their elected leaders.

I don’t know how anyone in LA can look at the current situation we’re in by electing an inexperienced reality tv star that is crippling the global economy with his incompetence and think “we should do that but at the local level”

What are you missing? A competent governor is what is needed. You get a governor like DeSantis to come into California and clean it up, and you will see massive improvements. Maybe then, people won't flee to red states.
