No, they didn’t. They stressed that the rule applies even if it’s unintentional And it’s pretty clear that by definition this is a penalty.

I get it, you don’t understand that rules can be subjective in cases like this. You clearly haven’t played competitively or had to study PGA rules.

@MichaelBorkey @rebellover1975 They all don’t agree. That’s why I keep saying it’s subjective. The rules make a determination if you did those actions. It’s ok, you probably have never played in actual tournaments or even shot under part. You didn’t dispute any of that other than to say goofball.

@rebellover1975 @MichaelBorkey Borkey isn’t a golf pro. Really good golfers would know where is stepped is behind his backside not anywhere near the swing. He steps left to that side then places his feet. He takes a short straight back swing. The grass wasn’t even considered. He stepped left and away.

@MichaelBorkey @rebellover1975 Clear to a regular golfer. A pro that’s not even in his backswing. You can look at ball position and where he steps. Also look at his short swing. It’s clear it was not in his way in his mind. Nor would it really be for top pros.

@MichaelBorkey Problem is it wasn’t even in his swing path. When you look at the video it’s not close. And didn’t impact his lie. I could see how normal players would be intimidated and believe that’s in the way. Pros, not even close. To me it’s no debate, subjective call.
