Flu: Children hit hardest as cases in Northern Ireland surge
A paediatric emergency medicine consultant is seeing the "most severe influenza outbreak" she has experienced.
Flu cases among adults and children across Northern Ireland have more than trebled in the last two weeks, rising from 273 to 954, official figures show.
Children and young people have been particularly affected, with under-fives among those most likely to be admitted to hospital with flu in that period.

Recordando ahora los comienzos de la pandemia me viene a la memoria cuando el profesor José Luis Jiménez y yo convencimos a Gob. Canarias de poner 😷 obligatorias en interiores sin importar distancias. Creo q fuimos la 1ª región del país. A partir de eso cambió todo en mi vida. Se me fue distanciando mucha gente contraria a esas medidas y que celebraban ante mi asombro y crítica en el verano de 2020 que vencimos al virus🙄... y de los primos nunca más se supo luego de las muertes de sus tíos, ¿mala conciencia? 🤷🏻♂️. Algunos amigos (pocos) en cambio siguen, pero piensan q fueron batallitas de miedosos. Hice lo correcto y todo lo que pude por proteger a mis padres, conciencia tranquila 💪🏻. x.com/00Bohr/status/…

@masanpra A día de hoy no veo que haya cambiado nada. Se nos mira como a marcianos a los que nos protegemos. Nadie lo entiende. No se ventila ni se limpia el aire con la excusa del ahorro energético.

@erbrooker This is the pollution levels inside a @Tesco on a road which hosts a daily street food market.
The store has an ‘air curtain’ at the entrance but unfortunately pollution from the street cooking outside finds a way indoors and remains trapped in store for customers and staff 😳

For people in Bristol, the M&S at Cribbs appears to have undergone some recent refurbishment.
The air quality in there was markedly better than elsewhere. The CO2 dropped when I walked in.

Ha pasado ya varios episodios de bronquitis.Con solo 2 años.

They know it makes sense to include masks & ventilation, but they need to whisper it very quietly otherwise someone might point out that these measures are NOT happening in hospitals.

@long_covid @covidinquiryuk I've just been to the GP. Nobody wearing masks & a patient in the waiting room with blatant symptoms.
GP did ask if I wanted him to mask too (because I was wearing one).. but my family member has just had to be hospitalized for pneumonia. The lack of caution is crazy.
