The Māori word for #autism is takiwatanga, ‘in their own time and space’ I for one think it’s lovely to describe the condition I can relate to this as I find focusing on one thing at a time works better for me.

@SalfordMH I voted "yes", but just because of my childhood - we had an old house when I was young, so the hot water tank drew off old pipes, so my parents told me to never put warm water in my mouth. Just habit. Probably not worth heating water from your boiler to brush your teeth though...

Is it wrong to brush your teeth with hot water?

What's really annoying is that @Nike are making money off a woman goalkeeper's shirt, after they claimed that it couldn't possibly be profitable... I'm very happy for Mary Earps, but I reckon the profits should go to a women-in-sport group or something... bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

Never - while you're in charge! Bikes/public transport aren't enough literally because people like you make sure they aren't - you don't want to pay up to save longer-term! That's it. We'd stop 60-70% private cars tomorrow with enough investment, but - the poor shareholders, no!?
David Frost@DavidGHFrost

It's not a 'problem', it's a good thing. In poorer countries people depend on public transport & bikes. When they get richer they want cars because they bring freedom. Public transport will *never* be good enough for a free people to move around on.

Talking about 'garden space', 'owned land', 'green space' and so on relates to privilege. You are lucky, privileged and/or wealthy if you own garden space. I recognise that few have access to such things. So to those that do, the burden is on you to do what you can. You must.

@Stillmanator Sounds a bit like the managerial equivalent of Beth England to me... She should totally be on the plane, btw - what do you reckon?

@allaboutthedame @shanebrown74 Having watched a bit more, I now realize how indoctrinated I am into the (utterly brilliant, of course) Suchet-Fraser ITV version of Poirot-Hastings - Austin Trevor being taller than Richard Cooper is really messing with my mind!

@allaboutthedame @shanebrown74 Thanks so much to you both - I had no idea it still existed and was available until now! Have watched first 5 mins so far, and am intrigued to discover how it plays out both as a film of its time and as an adaptation of a plot that is genuinely difficult to bring to any screen!
