I don't know the Jesus some have paraded and waved around in the middle of this treachery today. They may be acting in the name of some other Jesus but that's not Jesus of the Gospels.

Jesus napped regularly, got frustrated with religious systems, experienced hunger that turned into anger, occasionally ignored his family’s advice, and happily ran away when people wanted to control him. His humanity was part of his godliness. And so is yours.

I’ve been quieter the last two #MLK Days because my friend @bj116 taught me to say less and do more. White folks’ talk’s cheap. Invest in good organizations carrying on the legacy of justice for all. That’s real help.

Whether it’s raining or shining, whether we’re laughing or crying, whether we’re running our race or flat on our face, we, brothers and sisters, are the most blessed people on earth. We have Jesus. He has not abandoned us. Rejoice, Church. Blessed be the Rock of our salvation!

When I sit quietly with God instead of trying to figure everything out, He takes my anxiety & replaces it with His peace, wisdom & security. Lord, we hand our situations over to You. Humble us. Show us what steps to take. And help us to trust You with this every. single. day.
