@cynlioness Its an annoying tradeoff. I went the other way - I often don't tell Twitter people who I am online when I meet them irl. For opsec. But obviously this too has drawbacks, eg not getting enough rankings on Glosso >.<

Arrived outside my friend's bday party. I tapped on the glass and waved them over to let me in the apt. Sat w them. 4 guys vibecoding/hanging. Chatted. 10 minutes in the host startled and went "OH, you're [neet]!". And they all go "Ohhh" They hadnt recognized me with short hair but they'd just...rolled with it. Let me in. Hung out. For more info google “Loudon County” but datacenters there basically provide residents with free school in exchange for expedited permitting

Buttigieg says data centers should have to prove that they'll benefit a local community before coming in. This is the kind of thing that sounds good but would basically destroy the economy and American living standards. Markets should allocate capital, not activists.
