@SaltMineRanch I'm not particularly a huge fan of UW.
Primarily, because of lacking support. Notably, some Game Engines *really* perform poorly with an appropriately wide view. -like the Engine was optimized entirely by not rendering beyond player PoV, or something.

Yeah, made obsolete by super zoomed out FOVs and LOUD footsteps to "make games fair". Still little support for UW and you're not allowed to have peripheral vision online but controller dweebs get autoaim. Get communists out of game development and we can have UW displays.

Not saying it's easy but, a decade+ ago one wouldn't've expected 'ISM-band not X-ray vision' ("Wi-Vi") or "Heartbeat Sensors" to become realistic, either.

Mite be neat to see folks build active 'Detectors' that ping RF pulses and listen/look for absorption/attenuation from components. Eventually, building a database to wirelessly and remotely ID hardware at a distance.

Not only are B840/A620A a step-backwards from A620 (Promontory 21), it's literally B550-on-AM5 (Promontory 19) with some B550 features removed. Namely, Official CPU OC and 20gbpsUSB.

@sskver @Berfs1 @Pirat_Nation AMD is happy to encourage folks to OC, it makes AMD's offering look better over Intel. Fact is, over 5200MT/s is Overclocking the IMC, and even if not overvolted, the IOD may still see over current.
NTM, firmware glitches that overvolt the SoC to hell, for less than a second...

A Ryzen 9 7950X3D CPU exploded on a Gigabyte X670E AORUS MASTER motherboard when the computer suddenly shut down during use and failing to boot afterward.
The user did not overclock the CPU and only ran DDR5 RAM at 6000 MHz on a very old BIOS from May 2023, before Gigabyte released firmware updates for Ryzen X3D processors.
AMD denied the warranty claim and said the damage was due to human error, which adds to the growing number of similar AM5 CPU failures reported on different motherboard brands.
