@brakeboosted I don't get it how they not realize that they are only making things worse with stuff like that XD The funny thing is that F1 used to cut off the onboards in the V10 era too, but now because of how these engines work everybody is waiting for the 130R how bad it is going to be.

@JoshuaBauder @F1 Besides that at some point even with special equipment it would be physically impossible to go faster. Basically at every major regulation change F1 makes the cars slower with some kind of restrictions and then the engineers spend the next 4-5 years getting back up to speed.

@JoshuaBauder @F1 Don't be ridiculous. There is a limitation for the human body what kind of speed and gforces it can withstand. The lap times we had in 2020 and 2025 are close to the limit above that the drivers would need a special suit like jet fighter pilots to not pass out.

@JoshuaBauder @F1 The cars were only around 1 second/lap slower than the ground effect cars in their 4th year so speed isn't an issue. And unfortunately if they don't bow down to the engine manufacturers wishes then we can easily get into a situation where there is only Ferrari and Cossworth

@F1 So the cars will be even slower is what I’m reading. The battery and hybrid energy system is stupid. Leave that for Formula E. If the engine manufactures don’t like that then they can not be in F1. Bring back V8 or V10 with turbos and make it about driving again.

This is a very interesting comment for all the wrong reasons. Having to hold back to avoid confusing the cars' control electronics is something. The new power split has put a massive emphasis on this. This cannot be the way we go about racing. We might as well put a clanker in the cockpit and call it a day. I sincerely hope this is something they can address.

La régularité paie plus qu’aller trouver quelque chose qu’on n’a pas fait avant en Q2/Q1, c’est ce dont j’ai essayé de faire aujourd’hui, malheureusement, on sent qu’il y a un petit peu plus de grip, mais on ne peut pas changer les choses une fois le tour commencé, c’est un petit peu compliqué à gérer. Mais c’est surtout là que j’ai fait le gros step comparé à hier, où hier en SQ3, j’ai fait des virages qui étaient beaucoup plus rapides que ce que j’avais fait en SQ2 et ça n’a pas payé ensuite niveau moteur, c’est un peu complexe à expliquer. Aujourd’hui, Q1/Q2/Q3, j’étais constant mais bon, ça rend les qualifs bizarres. C’est quelque chose qu’il faudra qu’on regarde pour voir si on ne peut pas améliorer en faisant quelques petits changements, on a quelques idées déjà niveau réglementation plus que notre voiture. » « Pour la course, je reste confiant.
