I need some help… If ANYONE has access to permethrin n can trap a couple ticks n see how they’d react, I’d deadass draw you some art. I’m not kidding this is not a joke if anyone can do this please let me know. I need to know if they genetically modified them to resist it.

@doyounearme @duolius I really hope this shit isn’t real because I don’t think people understand ticks are now CONCENTRATED. We have so few wild areas left in the populated eastern US, that ticks are now swarming what’s left. They’re mutating like crazy too, it’s adding fuel to a nitrogen fire

@LackyTacky07 @duolius I mostly heard it from farmer friends that live in the east and the mid west. I saw a few videos on it but I’ll have to dig around and see if I can find them. One guy found a metal box in the woods on his property swarming with FAST ticks. I’ll try and find it again

@doyounearme @duolius I walk among a lot of prairie and rural areas; I’m yet to find these “tick boxes”, me and a few of my rural buddies have known about this theory. I got a farmer friend in IL, and I’m a prairie advocate in TX; I have not found anything yet. Can you show said vids??!

@doyounearme I work at a barn where we sell permethrin. Is there a theory ticks have been modified to be resistant? Or is this just a case of natural selection due to how much it’s used in agriculture?
