(Alleged) Near miss at Newark, yesterday, involving an Alaksa B-737 and a Fedex B-777. Have no real confirmation of how close they were and any more details on what happened. More info below ⬇️ "On the night of March 18, 2026, shortly after 00:17 UTC, Alaska Airlines Flight 294 (ASA294) and FedEx Flight 721 (FDX721) had a serious near-miss incident at Newark Liberty International Airport. ASA294 had just arrived from Portland and was aligned for Runway 22L, while FDX721 was inbound from Memphis and lining up for Runway 29. The aircraft crossed paths and came dangerously close together. Quick action by Newark Tower controllers ordered ASA294 to execute a go-around, successfully averting a potential collision." Nasa WB-57 N926NA is up on its first test flight since going in for Major Inspection/maintenance work last August. It is the only operational Nasa WB-57 at this time since N927NA made a gear up belly landing in January.

The U.S. Air Force has lost over a dozen MQ-9 “Reaper” Surveillance & Attack Drones to enemy fire so far during Operation Epic Fury, with the drones lost to either Iranian surface-to-air missile fire or destroyed on the ground by ballistic missile and drone strikes, two U.S. officials confirmed to ABC News.
