Have you ever heard of Switchel? Switchel has been known to help with digestion, skin problems, weight issues and lack of energy. After hours of working hard in the sun a body needs more than just water to rehydrate. Switchel is REALLY good at replenishing the sodium/potassium balance in cells so that they can properly re-hydrate.
Before high-fructose corn syrup, artificial dyes and flavors and aluminum cans were ever invented energy drinks were popular. You just had to make them at home!
Switchel is inexpensive to make and delicious. Surprisingly my daughter loves it just as much as I do!
Recipe:
1 Tablespoon Ginger Powder, Dried Ginger Root or Fresh Ginger
3 Tablespoons Raw Honey (best if its local as it will help you with allergies)
3 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar (I probably put more than this, it's really a matter of taste)
16 oz warm water
1 pinch of Himalayan or Sea salt
Stir it all together and let it steep a little while then ENJOY!!
