@HRH_SHP Ending a pregnancy is not taking a life. Abortion is healthcare that saves women’s lives. Forcing pregnancy on child rape and incest victims is a literal crime against humanity. And banning abortion or limiting access to drugs that facilitate safe abortions will just kill women.
Andrew—#IAmTheResistance@AmoneyResists

Trigger bans on abortion set in motion by the illegitimate SCOTUS’ striking down Roe v. Wade took effect in Texas, Tennessee, and Idaho today. So let’s review the reasons why these bans are so dangerous, do nothing to protect life, and must be reversed by Expanding The Court.

There was no “Biden abortion regime.” This is not a “victory for life.” And abortion is not “killing babies.” All this does is make it more difficult for women who need this medication to end their pregnancy to obtain it, which jeopardizes their health and their lives.
Attorney General Liz Murrill@AGLizMurrill

🚨BREAKING: Victory for Life! U.S. Fifth Circuit blocks Biden abortion regime that facilitated the death of thousands of Louisiana babies through mail-order abortion pills. The Biden abortion cartel facilitated the deaths of thousands of Louisiana babies (and millions in other states) through illegal mail-order abortion pills. Today, that nightmare is over, thanks to the hard work of my office and our friends at @ADFLegal. I look forward to continuing to defend women and babies as this case continues. aglizmurrill.com/Article/512

@_LamNam_ So basically, you seem to think that somebody who is highly qualified should be paid the minimum wage. Is that what you're implying? Because that's what you've just said.

To be honest, you don't actually have a business. You have a business based on exploitation, which means your business model is neither sound nor ethical.
Peter McCormack 🏴‍☠️🇬🇧🇮🇪@PeterMcCormack

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.

I’m sitting there with a friend, just talking about random stuff after class, and somehow the topic shifts to abortion laws. They look at me and ask, “So are you pro-life or pro-choice?” I don’t really need to think about it. I just say, “Pro-choice.” They ask why, so I explain it how I see it. To me, everyone should have the right to decide what happens to their own body and their own life. That’s not something I think other people should be able to take away or control. And I also feel like a lot of people don’t really think about what happens when abortion is illegal. It doesn’t just stop abortions, it just makes them harder to access, even in serious situations like rape or when the pregnancy is dangerous. So people who are already dealing with something really heavy end up with even fewer options. That’s why I stand by it. Because without access, there isn’t really a choice at all.
k@alfkkifine

This is the second Republican account I’ve seen complaining about insurance and hospital bills and its so confusing… you guys literally VOTED for this. That’s what your party does!!!Defend health insurance CEO’s and yell socialism whenever someone tries to change the system!!!
Libs of TikTok@libsoftiktok

Last week I randomly got a $9,000 bill for a hospital visit from last year. I called them up and they said my insurance decided not to cover it. Why? Because. .@Aetna can just decide they’re not interested in covering something and then you’re left with an inflated bill to pay out of pocket after the fact. This is in addition to a $2,000 bill that I already paid. They just don’t want to cover it despite me paying a monthly premium. Meanwhile illegals get free healthcare. Honestly fuck you @Aetna. I’m gonna do everything I can to destroy you.

I think there are easy ways to safeguard a hot meal at a grocery store, and prevent SNAP from being used at restaurants, drive-thrus or dining places. You can just clearly define what a Grocery Store is, right? I feel like the difference between a Grocery Store and a Mcdonalds is pretty easy...

I'm surprised letting people on SNAP get a cooked chicken is controversial... While yes, SNAP can be abused, just like any welfare, not all people on SNAP are lazy. Some are disabled. Some are elderly. Some are working 2 jobs, but still can't afford both rent and food. We should be celebrating adding healthy alternatives!

Condoms can ripp. The morning after pills do not work after a certain weight and even if they work; they are also not %100 safe. Nothing is %100. Abortion is last choice. And we need to be able to do

Abortion is valid and okay even if the pregnancy didn’t come from rape or involve a minor. “If the mother simply doesn’t want the baby,” that’s valid. “If she’s not financially, mentally, or physically able to raise a child,” that’s valid. “If the father leaves and she can’t or doesn’t want to raise the baby alone,” that’s valid. “If she’s struggling with addiction that could affect the child,” that’s valid. “If the fetus has serious health issues and abortion is needed,” that’s valid. People need to understand that a woman doesn’t have to be harmed or violated to have control over her own body. If you’re thinking about children, you should also think about the mother. Save the tree, not just the apple.

Serious question: if somebody invites your kid to a birthday party at some restaurant, do you assume that the family is taking care of lunch or do you give your kid money? I dropped my kid off assuming lunch was gonna be taken care of, but he came running back out to the truck asking me for cash. I gave it to him no problem, but I was a little bit surprised.

Should it be illegal to refuse to donate blood or a kidney to someone who’s dying, even if it’s a child? If a child in your family needed your kidney and you couldn’t or wouldn’t give it, should the law force you to or send you to prison? If your answer is no because that violates bodily autonomy, a basic human right, then you already understand the argument for legal abortion. No one is required to give up bodily autonomy for someone else, no matter their age or relationship. You might call it murder, but even laws around killing have exceptions. Self defense is legal when someone’s life is at risk. If abortion were banned in every situation, even when the mother’s life is in danger, then by that logic self defense shouldn’t exist either. But it does. Most people wouldn’t accept losing their bodily autonomy or their right to stay alive, so it’s worth considering what it means to take that right away from others.

@Millenihag @AlecLundragon Because family formation is important for a society. Certain legal protections are provided through marriage that are not just provided w/ cohabitation & for good reason. Cohabitation rarely leads to lasting family formation. Its just too easy to leave. Evidence? Look around.
