Today is the 7th anniversary of my becoming a full time artist. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride but I consider myself so incredibly lucky to do what I love each day. Thank you to everyone who has bought from me or supported me this year, I’m eternally grateful 💛

@RobertEFuller Robert, please would you remove/change the misinformation on hedgehogs. They only eat slugs & snails if starving. Slugs/snails are hosts to lungworm which kills all mammals unless treated. Please see @HedgehogCabin for accurate information. Thank you.

@Irissykes14 @SmokeySMG Please don't use any of the above as deterants. Onions are toxic to cats, dogs and foxes. Eucalyptus is dangerous for cats and can be fatal for dogs. Lavender and chilli is dangerous. Please be kind.

I'm having trouble with a cat. Not only is it hell-bent on killing the birds/squirrels I feed, but as well as eating the fox food, it has now begun emptying my pond of all its inhabitants. The camera has caught it with frogs in its mouth. I'm so fed up with it. What can I do??

Six Dinner Sid, aka Mr Tom the neighbourhood feral puss has just appeared as I was getting Ralph’s food ready. Needless to say, he bagged himself a few sprats. He’s still wearing his collar & tag, so hopefully he’s still being cared for. 🐾🐾

So the consensus seems to be the vet the other day was speaking in general terms and not specifically about me. I am doing GREAT. My weight is steady, the chemo is still working, my kidney is fine and I’m a happy little ball of fur. Happy tears all around here. Now I’m going home to nap. This is my “I need to use the litter box face.”

@HedgehogCabin It is odd and has happened in all seasons. I wonder if they are neophobic, but then the bowls should become familar over time. Watching wildlife brings me so much joy. How lucky am I to be able to help in a small way? What you do is heart warming xx

@HedgehogCabin Hi Pauly, I notice you recommend Harrington's dry cat food. How much would you suggest as a feeding guide per badger, fox and hog?

@HedgehogCabin Thanks so much for your reply. We pin stainless steel bowls down as in the video. Some foxes don't like eating from the bowls. Do you know why? Badgers and hog eat wet dog food & kitten bics from them with gusto! Thank you for the advice xx

As much as they need. It's only us jaded humans who treat food as entertainment, and overindulge.😊 Wild animals treat food as fuel, so take only as much as they need. And they will always forage their own natural food first, if there is any to be had, before taking ours. So put out a heavy dish, or pin it down (foxes do love to steal dishes!), and fill it. If there's too much left over in the morning, reduce the amount until you get it about right.
