Update on my brother's death. He was killed and died without dignity in Wythenshawe Hospital. He was sitting up in his hospital bed at midnight when his visitors left him. On his COPD meds, chatting normally. At 2am my sister in London received a call that he was dying of pneumonia and his meds were being stopped. When his visitors arrived back at the hospital at 8am he was writhing in agony with blood everywhere from his undressed arm injury. This continued until he was no longer able to breathe and he suffocated. Someone at the hospital sent him for an autopsy. He died of COPD. No pneumonia was present. COPD that was well treated and under control until 2am on the day of his death. Terrifying.

@jasonomahony It may feel like an ineffectual gesture. But it's showing moral strength and integrity, and if others follow suit the stand becomes highly effectual. It's the weakness of others that's the problem.

The bloke in charge of women’s wards, maternity care, single-sex spaces, rape crisis services, and NHS safeguarding can’t or won’t admit that women are adult human females. Full stop. This isn’t nuance. It’s dangerous ideological capture at the highest level of healthcare. How the hell is he going to protect women’s rights and safety when he thinks biological males can be women? This appointment is a disgrace. Women’s health and dignity are not up for debate or “disagreement.” We’re watching you, Secretary Murray. Closely.

Unpopular opinion: Kemi Badenoch is becoming *really* good at this, and is miles better than Nigel Farage. This is the single most shocking testimony I have ever seen.  Even more shocking is that so many people that I (& probably you) know decided on that day that the people behind this perversion deserved their active public support. It is hard to have any faith in humanity when we see how easily large groups of people can be manipulated into supporting activities too cruel and disgusting even for the devil. And not because they understand it, but simply because they see that as the fashionable position to take.
