There are literal documents detailing how the british colonizers believed that there were too many people in Kenya and that a lot of our ancestors must be exterminated. So between 1952-1960, they killed over millions of our people.

I see Cuba very much like I see Haiti. They fought for their freedom, expelled the colonizers, & the colonizers have been punishing them ever since. You either stand for freedom or with the colonizer. Freedom is never free.

The hardest part of fighting colonial imperialism is not just dealing with their puppets leaders. The real challenge is destroying the severe brain rot and psychological damage they implanted in our people.

How can a poor third work country called Kenya spend Kshs 1.1 trillion in just 9 months on tea, mandasi, samosa, workshop/seminars in Mombasa and air tickets?

My fave Kenyanism word: Rada? Depending on the context it could mean WTF? It could mean “seriously?”. It could mean “what’s up?”. It could mean “the hell’s wrong with you?” And you can understand it by the tone someone uses when saying it, and I find it so beautiful.

A female elephant sees a baby hippopotamus leave its herd and toddle off toward the lake to play. Knowing that crocodiles are lurking in the water, it tries to chase the baby hippo back to the safety of its group. 💖✨ When it meets the mother hippo, it’s basically like: “Please keep an eye on your child, ma’am hippo.” 😔
