@StanLDN @MattHughesMedia And I'm fully in favour of clubs suing the hell out of Southampton if it can be proved that they spied throughout 2026. But it needs to be proved first.

@StanLDN @MattHughesMedia The points penalty being applied retrospectively this season would make no difference other than to home advantage in the second leg of the playoffs. Unless charges are brought for other league games, where the placings were impacted, then it's going to go nowhere.

@SaintsExtra @guardian Utter tosh. The league campaign had concluded, with the teams qualifying for the play-offs determined, and the spying was in the prohibited window directly relating to a play-off game.

🚨 Millwall & Wrexham could seek to test whether the EFL rulebook has been correctly applied or whether the process was flawed, & could argue that because Southampton’s spying on Middlesbrough took place before the play-offs, they should have been replayed #saintsfc @guardian

@JacobsBen Good luck with that. There's a long standing precedent that when teams are thrown out of a cup competition, the team that they offended against progresses.

@DPJHodges I'd imagine there's more to come if teams can find evidence. I doubt they've only done it the three times they've admitted to when one of the teams was Oxford.

@flying_rodent By this logic, a centrist leader could open the door to the soft left, who in turn open the door to the hard left. The only solution to this is therefore a hard right leadership.

Genuinely don’t know what happens when the next beige milquetoast Labour leader gets the treatment. Do all the lads just nod along, or what

@TheSaintCentre Well, obviously. Current charge relates to the playoffs, therefore any sporting sanction will be playoff related. Any "further" charges would relate to the league, therefore any sporting sanction would be league related.

🚨Senior figures across several EFL clubs reportedly believe that, if Southampton are found guilty of further spying-related breaches, the most likely sanction would be a points deduction applied next season, according to The Times #saintsfc

@Heccles94 And I'm sure that the timing of Streeting's and Simons' resignation is completely coincidental

"We have to go further, we have to be bolder" The Labour right are going with the line that voters love demonising refugees, outsourcing, attacking disabled people, backing genocide & siding with the super rich & the profiteering utility companies, they just want more of it

Trump is now describing in some detail the Montreal Cognitive Test, which doctors use to spot the early signs of dementia, and which he proudly declared his doctors have made him take three times. He thinks it’s an intelligence test.
