Blue-light gang hijacks and kidnaps couple: UPDATE: •Hijack victim found next to the N12 on Saturday morning: The hijacking took place at 23:30 on Friday in Mandeville Str Bryanston, where the complainant and his giirlfriend arrived home after they had supper together at a restaurant in Melrose. They were stopped by a white Audi A4 with blue lights. 4 men then pointed them with a firearm. The girlfriend was forced into the boot of their own vehicle, a white BMW X1. The boyfriend was forced into the suspect's vehicle. The two vehicles then under the control of the suspects then drove of with them. On the N12 the one suspect that was driving the victim's vehicle lost control of the vehicle and rolled it. He was arrested and the girlfriend was discovered in the boot of the vehicle and she was taken away to receive medical care. In the other suspect's vehicle, the complainant was able to kick to boot open when they were driving slowly and he jumped out of the vehicle and hid in the grass. Once the suspects left when they couldn't find him, he alerted people in the vicinity and they took him to Kliptown Police Station where a case of Possesion of a hijacked vehicle and kidnapping was opened. Another case of hijacking and kidnapping was opened at SAPS Randburg relating to the same incident. The suspect is currently still in ICU in a medical facilty under Police guard. Police are considering the possibilty that the victims were followed home. Police hope to make more arrests. #CrimeWatch
