This post is an excellent litmus test for understanding of just war theory. Despite the fact that I can see how effective this would be, I must oppose it because the damage it would do to my enemy (who bashes in my mailbox) would far outweigh the good of saving my mailbox. Its disproportionality is opposed by our duty in charity (and even justice) to watch out even for the good of our enemies. (Yes, by the way, I have had my mailbox bashed in by random vandals.)

And this will garner all kinds of wailing and gnashing of teeth - the wrestler showed how BJJ is massively flawed and has become specific to rulesets and specific games. The "BJJ" guy couldn't control where the match took place well enough to institute his gameplan and exert his will over his opponent. Butt scooting, guard pulling, and even most guard strategies and games are only of use in BJJ derived game environments. This is why wrestling has the highest win percentage by a wode margin as a base style in the UFC, and I'd wager in MMA as a whole. This is a commentary on combat sports in a broad sense, and not this match itself. Keep that in mind if you choose to jump intoy mentions, and type a bunch of stupid things.

the applications for RMN are like 9:1 men to women, but the problem is most of the guys either a) aren't experienced or b) are just happy to oblige a kink in order to get laid, they're not genuinely into it. Hard to find guys who are really into it. You have the same issue with 'come cnc me in my home please'. I had to hunt down guys who seemed to be super into it on their profiles, whereas prob Pelicot's husband did not have such compunctions

It's one thing to take an intellectual property with an enthusiast fanbase and try to introduce the property to more people and expand the audience. That is what Marvel did with early MCU movies, and what Peter Jackson did with "Lord of the Rings." It is another thing to take a property with an enthusiast fanbase and market it exclusively to people who don't care about it, in ways that alienate the existing fanbase, which is what "Dungeons and Dragons," a number recent MCU movies, "Star Wars" stuff like "The Acolyte," and basically all recent "Star Trek" has done. This seems like it should be a simple thing to do right: Find a talented creative team who are enthusiast fans who love the property and have a vision that enthusiast fans will love and that will also show people who are not enthusiast fans why the enthusiasts love it so much. Worst case scenario, they will fail to reach the broader audience and will make a niche show or movie that is just for enthusiasts but is beloved by them, instead of something like this, which is for nobody and is dead on arrival.

@drewlevin (CC @Azzapp_LoL) can you please add a feature in S16 that can be enabled in the game menu or by typing "/playtowin" where it will put a system message in the team chat like so: Azzapp (Vel'Koz) has opted to fight to the end. They will automatically vote no to surrender and it will not be visible to them. you can even add a: "If one more player opts to fight to the end, surrendering will be disabled for the entirety of the match" and: "The fight to the end vote has reached critical mass. This match can now only be lost if your nexus is destroyed. Fight on!" Would be a super cool feature because i can imagine the momentum of people toggling it right after stealing an objective or getting a huge shut down / swing play etc. This would save the game!!

What Reich is doing here only works if nobody runs the math. Take his exact premise and calculate it honestly: Say a company has 500,000 employees making $8/hr, and they all get bumped to $15/hr. That’s a $7/hr increase. $7/hr × 2,080 full-time hours = $14,560 more per employee × 500,000 workers = $7.28 BILLION per year Now compare that to the CEO’s “shocking” $150M salary. If the CEO worked for free, not $1, literally $0, you’d still be short $7.1 billion. Raising wages is not funded by cancelling an executive paycheck. It requires massive recurring revenue increases, higher prices, layoffs, or business collapse. Reich knows this. He is presenting a $7B problem and pretending it can be solved with $150M. And it only sounds persuasive to people who refuse who deal in emotion instead of doing basic arithmetic.
