The Ikigai reimbursement proposal closes today at 4:44 PM CDT. 🔷 This isn't a grant. 🔷 It's a request to return a 100,000 ADA governance deposit that became permanently locked due to a Cardano node bug introduced around the Chang hard fork. Since September 2024, those funds have been inaccessible. During that time, the proposer has also missed more than three quarters of a year of staking rewards over 3,000 ADA through no fault of their own. This isn't about Ikigai. It's about whether Cardano stands behind its governance process and corrects protocol errors when responsibility clearly rests with the protocol. Several DReps have already voted NO, while a number of large DReps have not yet voted. If you delegate to or follow these DReps, please hit them up in dm's and let them know we need their vote or change their vote after the obviously misunderstood the reason for the reimbursement. MeshJS ships with Scalus under the hood: its script evaluator, cost calculation, and in-memory Cardano node emulator run inside the SDK, so builders get an effective local testing environment to validate transactions and scenarios without extra infrastructure. The Dijkstra hard fork changes Plutus evaluation (V4, new builtins, nested txs), and those components have to be updated or every downstream tool feels it. The revised Scalus proposal funds exactly that maintenance. 👇

@ecatxvc @0xMetamatt @Indigo_protocol Bifrost extends dApps’ reach directly to the Bitcoin community. You could build an interface for Bitcoin users (and have Bifrost behind it), attract BTC liquidity, sponsor bridge fees, and more.

Bifrost has a very unique design that allows it to be part of Cardano itself, without requiring any added financial complexity that could hinder security, and sustainability. The revenue generated from bridge fees is split between SPOs and the Cardano Treasury itself, empowering the actual infrastructure that protects both the bridge and the ledger. This aligns Bifrost with the broader Cardano's ambition to become the center of Bitcoin DeFi. Because it is part of the Cardano infrastructure, the bridge doesn't shut down if a company goes bankrupt or if it is acquired by a Cardano competitor. This gives BTC holders safety long term. Additionally, FluidTokens has spent years creating a Bitcoin community of DeFi users, ready to make their BTC work. Bitcoin people know and trust FluidTokens so they are willing to try and use Bifrost. Finally, Bifrost is agnostic; as a result, some of the biggest companies building on Cardano have expressed interest in integrating the bridge directly, which will result in BTC-focused products to grow across the Cardano ecosystem. @Varavas9
