Early this morning, crews responded to reports of an occupants in distress. First arriving engine company did an excellent job of ensuring all occupants were safely out of the home quickly, and then located a fire in the basement. Crews initiated, a rapid fire attack and were able to bring the fire under control in a timely manner. Despite the extreme cold conditions firefighters work efficiently to locate the seat of the fire and fully extinguish it. Three occupants were transported to hospital as a precaution for possible smoking inflation. Damage is estimated at approximately 250,000. A fire prevention inspector has been dispatched and will be investigating the cause. Please ensure you have working smoke detectors in your home. Smoke detector, save lives!
