I dont often post on here now but when did @NoLayingUp become so mundane and loose its love of golf? Havent listened in ages and was so excited for players preview. Really was so disengaging. Maybe its just me?

The hole was 394 measured from today's tee to the centre of the fairway at the predetermined layup point, and from there to today's pin.

The downplaying is incredible. A foreign national tries to attack a woman with a baby, a 73 year old lady and a jogger, but the damage was just a "small blade" to the face, you see? I don't know how anyone knows for sure just how small it was (or why that even matters). How small was the knife exactly? How many inches? Can't a person be murdered with a small blade nonetheless? (yes). If it was a big knife, would that have been reported? Was he aiming for the joggers neck? We saw similar downplaying when three people were stabbed in Stoneybatter on their own doors steps. They "were in the wrong place at the wrong time" (at home), and stab wounds turned into "slash type wounds". @RTE appear to be silent on this story as do many other media outlets (as far as I can determine with my search) and the ones that have reported it are framing it in a particular manner. A story like this would have made TV news for weeks if it happened 20 years ago. Then again an attack like this would not have happened 20 years ago would it? Because Ireland was safer then. Ireland has a racism issue...we are told every five minutes. Hurty words are reported in the papers and any attack on anyone who isn't Irish is assumed to be racially motivated (minus proof). But what do they call it when a foreign national attacks Irish people? Well most msm journalists don't call it anything because they don't acknowledge it even happened. Fair dues to the 88 year old Priest who stepped in to protect that 73 year old lady.
