Again, this is not ad hominem - it is my viewpoint. CNBC @cnbc is not MSNBC @msnbc or FOX @FoxNews . @squawkbox Joe Kernen, who seems to audition daily for President Trump, doesn't understand why he should stick to the economy and the markets in his commentary. Few (on either side of the political aisle) care anymore about his repeated political dogma - or that of Democrats on @cnbc (or mine for that matter). Rather than do his homework and prepare for the business day, he retreats back to his political views. Being a business journalist requires hard work and preparation for the business day and not the day in Washington, DC. it is about staying in your lane. The entire first ten minutes of Squawk Box has been a Kernen diatribe on politics and the election results. Important EPS (e.g. Advanced Micro) were reported last night, futures have had a one percent move (down and up during the evening session). No comment - just political pablum and individual views. While important business news has been ignored and not yet discussed. Its now 6:15AM and pointless and ever repeated political views . Frankly, I am shaken by the size of Trump’s win. Clearly, we are in a very difficult period as a country. But even as we lick our wounds, we can’t give up the fight. So much of Trump’s agenda is dangerous and must be resisted. We owe it to ourselves and our democracy.
