@ThinkingBone @SeanMombo I honestly do dips on the side handles of the treadmill at my lil apartment gym
English

@SeanMombo think a big part of it is the equipment; easy to throw a pull up bar anywhere, anything you can dip on takes more space
English

it’s surprising that more people don’t fuck with dips, the greatest exercise of all time.
even pull-ups, which are notoriously difficult for beginners, remain a staple aspirational movement for most people

dudes will hit a triple on +90lb dips and start asking you how much your girl weighs

@zenithoptera The most turned on I have ever been was when my wife was playfully rolling away in her wheelchair saying "help me" in french while I chased her.

@FeralPHunter This can of course be faulty. Locking yourself into a minutely detailed level of analysis has a whole can of worms, but so does always looking at the big picture without understanding intimarely the corresponding parts
English

@FeralPHunter Counterpoint
People who are interested in politics may be disproportionately likely to act as tho the purpose of a system is what it does.
How it works on a detailed analysis is, in that worldview, secondary to downstream effects

I never had a rebellious phase growing up. I was just always a naturally rebellious person and since my parents always encouraged it, I never rebelled against them.
Actually, if you want to get down to it... I rebelled by becoming even more based and conservative than some of their boomer sensibilities. I converted to Christianity at a young age in a secular home.

People forget that popularity and leading, essentially getting yourself pushed to the top of the social hierarchy, often begins with not giving an absoloute f--- what other people think about you. I was never the prettiest, the thinnest, nor the least awkward person growing up or well into young adulthood. But you could always count on me to be the most defiantly bold and unmovable. Also, helps if you're not a dick, but that's just more about if people like you or not. Boldness however is how you achieve popularity in 8 out of 10 rooms you walk into. People turn and look. They can't help but do so.
