Mind-blowing indeed; to have officials debase themselves to cheat so blatantly & publicly is, indeed, remarkable.

Martin McGuinness, a former IRA commander himself, respected the monarchy enough to shake the late Queen’s had. Now, Sinn Fein are repulsed by the monarchy, not just because they are jealous of their decorum, but to shore up support within the ‘Up the Ra’ cosplaying wing of the party.

Asking the Royal Commission into Social Cohesion and Antisemitism if Muslim communities can't give evidence and false claims of antisemitism which conflate a bake sale or wearing a keffiyeh with antisemitism go unchallenged, what exactly is this royal commission for?

@LarsNotViking @jasonomahony I thought you knew me better Lars. I find Paisleyism and Loyalist paramilitaries repugnant. Just as I find glorification of violence and terrorism from our largest party equally repugnant.

I will be eternally grateful to all those Unionists who battled the sickness in their stomach and voted ‘yes’ in this referendum. Unionism had many reasons to reject the Belfast Agreement, but there was one overriding reason to embrace it. Peace. It is thanks to David Trimble, and the unfathomably brave decision of the UUP to accept the agreement, that we live in peace. That is what real leadership looks like. The DUP couldn’t lick their boots.

@jasonomahony Indeed, the ‘grand old Duke of York’ who marched PUL’s to the top of the hill, and abandoned them there. Alongside his complicity in the murder of many innocent Catholics.

New Irish Language Commissioner Pól Deeds is only months in post but has repeatedly bungled. In one instance, he told his Stormont scrutiny committee the @BelTel published a "bad translation" of his words in Irish. In fact, the translation was accurate. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/comment/opinio…

John Hunter Gowan II was an amoral depravity. He was a sectarian terrorist and a sadist and like most NI loyalists now, he too was a corrupt man and a criminal. "Annesley Brownrigg, Esq, a magistrate of the county of Wexford, received nine-and-thirty charges of pillage and slaughter against Mr Hunter Gowan,.." Unfaithful to his wives he was a cheap adulterer fathering a conga line of bastards.

#OTD 25 May 1825, John Hunter Gowan II dies. Infamous hated Wexford figure for alleged brutality as commander of corps 'The Black Mob' in 1798 (despite being 71 years old!). Formed Mount Nebo Orange Lodge 406. Constant desecration of his grave-had to be filled with concrete

@timmckane is a rational man with a balanced view. Tezza you are a myopic loyalist propagandist who repressively dredges the past yet whinges when anyone else refers to history. You can't even bring yourself to disband your sectarian terrorists the UVF/UDA who control your communities and politics like a coercive cancer.

Why do republicans such as @timmckane struggle to condemn the heinous crimes of the IRA? He demands Unionists constantly justify their existence, as well as all past actions. Yet he views condemnations of IRA terrorism as ‘looking through a flag.’ No wonder our society is warped when folks such as he are considered mainstream.

Tezza, nowhere have you mentioned UVF and UDA in your sanctimonious myopic spray. UVF started the troubles with Paisley and with the UDA have never disbanded. Nor has unionist politicians forced them too, because PUL sustain those sectarian terrorists. No one needs to be "brainwashed" as they are at the very centre of your culture and politics. They are you alongside the orange order and KAT flute bands and bonfire night. Republicans and Nationalists had the moral and political courage to disband the Provos. Your willful ignorance and moral cowardice would rob NI's future generations of a bigot free future.

Agreed. The ignorance of history does perpetuate division in Northern Ireland. I have recognised the deep, structural issues that permeated in Northern Ireland in the 1960’s. Progress was being made, but Paisley lit the match of the Troubles, the IRA doused the province in petrol. Now we watch a new generation of young republicans brainwashed into believing the IRA were justified in its heinous campaign. We also see Sinn Fein attempt to whitewash the past, and continuously paint Unionists as bigots, while simultaneously glorifying their past terroristic actions. So yes, ignorance of history is a deep rooted problem.

Unionists endured a 30-year sectarian campaign of bombings and murder from SF/IRA. Yet Michelle cries fouls when the DUP outclass her in the political field? Sinn Fein have never ‘done partnership.’ Her delusion is astounding.
The Irish News@irish_news

"They don't do partnership." Sinn Féin's First Minister Michelle O'Neill claims the DUP "attack Irish national identity at every turn" as she described the current relationship between the two parties in the Executive. Read and watch the full interview here: tinyurl.com/hr9zazjd

Tezza will be on here everyday dredging the past and whinging, 'b.b.but the RA', and historically claim 'SF and nationalists are at fault', just like every other cheap loyalist and unionist foghorn. But now he says: "Why do Unionists have to constantly defend and justify all past actions?" They are special aren't they.

Why do Unionists have to constantly defend and justify all past actions? I wasn’t alive when the NI Parliament was abolished, but somehow I have to answer for its actions? I regularly condemn the virus of Loyalist paramilitaries, yet I constantly have their actions thrown in my face, as if I have to answer for their crimes. I am also regularly labelled a planter. My ancestors have been buried in the soil of this land for centuries. I am as Irish as anyone. (@timmckane is not guilty of this.) Meanwhile, being of the ‘GFA generation’, my family, and so many others, continue to live with the silent scars of the IRA’s campaign of sectarian slaughter, from which we are supposed to forgive, forget, and move on from. It is a glaring inconsistency that needs to be continuously addressed.
Tim McKane@timmckane

@BaronoftheMaine The sheer ignorance of history is what contributes to the ongoing divisions in NI. 50 years of discrimination over jobs and housing, ongoing strikes and violence during the Troubles, the UWS postponing a settlement for 20 years…you shouldn’t be using that name…
