Nigerian Man jailed In the U.S. Over Alaska Dividend Fra¥d Scheme A Nigerian man based in Pennsylvania, United States, Adepoju Babatunde Salako, has been sentenced to 18 months imprisonment after pleading guilty to wire fra¥d connected to a 2022 Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend fra¥d scheme. According to court documents, Salako obtained the personal information of several Alaska residents and used the details to file seven fra¥dulent applications for Permanent Fund Dividend payments between January and February 2022. Investigators said he created email accounts connected to the victims and accessed their “myAlaska” online profiles, where he changed contact and banking information in an attempt to redirect the payments into accounts under his control. Authorities also disclosed that Salako used a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to conceal his actual location and make it appear as though the applications were submitted from Alaska, although some digital records later traced the activity to Philadelphia. The Alaska Department of Revenue eventually uncovered the scheme and rejected the applications before any payments were issued. Officials said the attempted fra¥d could have cost the state and victims close to $23,000. Salako pleaded guilty to seven counts of wire fra¥d. The 18-month sentence will run concurrently with another sentence from a Colorado case, where he was previously handed 78 months in prison over COVID-19 relief fra¥d and international money la¥ndering offences involving $2.5 million in restitution. Reacting to the case, U.S. Attorney Michael J. Heyman said, “Mr. Salako spent considerable time planning and perpetrating his scheme to defra¥d the Alaska PFD.” He added, attempting to defra¥d the PFD will not be tolerated and could result in federal prison.”

Nine out of ten times, Nigerians commit crimes in the diaspora, it is an Ibo man or woman. It is as if it's a heritage and an identity. Yet, they are the ones who complains negatively about the country, the most. They see nothing good in this present government, but fail to look inwards.

There is an urgent medical information I want to pass across. This will save your life, pls come close. If you ever see rotten tomatoes that looks like these pictures I posted, or if you ever see onions with black spots on them or you see corn with mould on it, PLEASE RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. Why do I say this? All these food items are contaminated with a poisonous fungus called AFLATOXINS. Aflatoxins are notorious for increasing the risk of liver cancer. When you eat food that has this type of tomatoes, or you eat food cooked with this kind of onions or you eat this type of corn you are at risk of developing liver cancer. Only eat fresh tomatoes, fresh onions and fresh corn. Avoid rotten tomatoes, blackened onions or corn with mould (even if they are cheaper to buy). This is not a threat or a joke. This is a real life serious medical issue. Kindly share this information.

I write to formally inform all residents, workers, political associates, leaders, stakeholders, and the good people of Surulere of this decision. This step is born out of my continued commitment to serve, to consolidate the progress we have made together, and to further advance our collective aspirations. I remain deeply grateful for the trust, encouragement, and solidarity you have shown me over the years. By the grace of God, my return to the House will confer ranking status on our constituency. Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Carpenter's 800 year-old rude carving found hidden in church ceiling .... In 2021, images of an 800 year-old carving have gone viral after the X-rated art was uncovered in a public church in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 It is believed a carpenter hid the rude carving in a church roof, and it has now been discovered a whole 800 years later. The carving had been hidden from the public until the church built a new cafe, exposing the funny piece of woodwork. Church-goers at All Saints Church in Hereford, England; were shocked when a photo of the man with his legs up exposing himself in the ceiling went viral. Work reportedly began on the church roof around 1200 AD, and was completed around 1330 AD. It was not until a new gallery with a cafe was built in the church in the 1990s, that the artwork was discovered. The reclining nude man, nicknamed Seamus O'Toole, is believed to have been carved into the rafters in 15th Century AD. The images made it onto Reddit where thousands of people commented, many pointing out the artwork is proof trolling is not a modern thing. "He probably sat in the church, looking up at, knowing no one else knew it was there, tittering to himself," one person wrote; "Words can't describe how much I love this," Another one said, "Never in a million years did the person who made this think thousands of people around the world would see it," someone else pointed out. Another person quoted: “He probably sat in the church, looking up at, knowing no one else knew it was there, tittering to himself.”  #archaeohistories

@instablog9ja God already planned everything that will happen on earth . In Islamic faith, we already knew it, it's in the knowledge of God not human to know what will happen in the next second, minute, hour, day, week, month and year etc. We don't have control over God's decisions.

Because of his political ambition, he keeps moving young, innocent Nigerians from one party to another. Why not build your own party? No. Why not stay and develop one? No. Instead, he uses his supporters as political bargaining chips, without considering their future. Now he wants to take them to the NDC to start all over again. The Obidient movement is a political commodity in the hands of Peter Obi.
