From an electricity supply perspective, what we need to understand in Ireland is that we'd be in deep deep sh*t if it were not for the UK's north sea natural gas supply to tap into right now. 50% of our electricity comes from natural gas, and of that 50% - 15% from the North Sea gas fields, 17% from Norway, 8% LNG from the US (and Qatar...), and 10% is indigenous (Corrib gas fields, which is now in a steady decline from peak production in 2018). There are no credible long term alternatives being pursued or implemented by our government to take us away from this natural gas dependence. Those gas supplies are going to keep our grid system functioning for only so long as the UK has also gone down the braindead road of Net Zero and like ourselves as of 2025 have no plans to explore or drill for any new supplies. They'll feel the effects of that decision soon enough, with it cascading onto us too. We have zero plans in place for any of this, and very few (imo) people in positions of power fully understand the slow death our grid is undergoing. I'm not even sure how we reverse this, but I do know we need to act soon.

Please keep this in mind when listening to grifters in Ireland say we'll have a soft landing and not be impacted Given their failure to call the housing bubble in 08 I'm baffled as to why they are still listened to

NEW - IEA chief says current oil supply losses due to Hormuz Strait closure exceed the combined impact of 1973 and 1979 oil crises, gas losses are nearly double that from Russia/Ukraine war and other commodities, like fertilizer are also impacted, "The situation is very severe."

Could you do me a favour folks? Rumble Studio is really good for streaming, but I need five followers on Rumble to do so. If you have a Rumble account, could you consider subscribing? Hoping to do a stream on Iran and the Irish government soon. rumble.com/user/TheLastTr…

From a government level, the carbon tax should be slashed, and proper reassurance put in place to the public. Don't listen to Dan, we're on a much higher inflation level than 4.8% by the end of this year.

This is a ridiculous tweet. Considering the recent series of events in Qatar and Iran, the extremely poor ability of mainstream economists to predict anything, and the government's horrible job at dealing with Eowyn, I would not panic, but take this extremely seriously.
Dan O'Brien@danobrien20

New scenarios from the @ecb. The worst one assumes oil rises to $145 (right now = $109) and gas doubles again (having already doubled since first attacks). Even in this scenario, they don't foresee recession this year or next. Inflation would rise to 4.4% this year and 4.8% in 2027. These look like a very plausible set of numbers. An energy shock is very bad news, but it's not an economic apocalypse for those outside the ME region.

The damage has been done. Normal people who work proper jobs will suffer. You don't understand. While a lot of Iran HAS been wiped out, a couple of shahed drones or lads on speedboats placing mines, and NO one wants to go through that strait. All because of Israel.

He is entitled to his opinion, but destroying half the regime in a few weeks is a "disaster"? What are you people smoking? If the regime now falls, will you eat your words? I have waited 40 years for this magnificent victory against these barbarians. Iranians have waited for this.

This is absolutely insane: The world is quite literally facing what appears to be the largest energy crisis in history. US crude oil futures are now trading at a $20+/barrel DISCOUNT to Brent, also one of the largest on record. As the US increases production and taps into reserves, the EU is facing a full out energy crisis. European natural gas prices are up another +30% today and physical crude oil prices in Oman and elsewhere are trading at $150+/barrel. In other words, the gap between Oman and US prices now stands at ~70%, or ~$70+ per barrel. It has become so bad for Europe that the market is now pricing-in 2 interest rate HIKES in 2026, even as the US removes sanctions on Russian oil. US rate cuts in 2026 are almost entirely priced-out as a result with Core PPI inflation on PRE-WAR data rising to its highest since February 2023. The entire global economy just took a complete 180 degree turn in 3 weeks. The next few months are going to be historic.

@ResolvingR @Restitutor_ Not as big of a deal as in other countries, but the idea that foreign powers are not going to target certain demographics with certain objectives in mind? Well, you're being naive in my opinion. Disliking the Irish government ≠ simping for Russia. x.com/LastGael/statu…

I keep saying this, but there's a whole ecosystem of content creators and influencers, whose goal is to demoralize you, align you with foreign powers and their foreign policy objectives, and is marketed at dissidents/right wingers. Such as Jiang. People need to be aware of this.

The significance of this clip is twofold. 1: The increasing separation of the Irish ruling class compared to 75% of Irish people who are not happy with mass immigration. 2: The fact that Martin said this, points at the EU elites becoming more aware that MAGA is a poison well.
Disclose.tv@disclosetv

NOW - Ireland's Prime Minister (Taoiseach) on migrants: "I think sometimes Europe gets characterized wrongly in terms of it being overrun or whatever like that. It's much more robust now. There's a much stronger mechanism in place to facilitate legal migration."
