@Hellobanker_in Many scale IV executives are not getting PLI due to less marks in yearly performance (less than 60%) atleast upto scale III got minimum PLI. That's why PLI should be paid equally to all the cadres irrespective of scale

Bank Officers upto Scale III have left the official WhatsApp groups created by Bank Management. Officers say - Maximum branch heads are Scale II and Scale III and the branches bring business. Scale IV and above are mainly in management roles. Thus maximum PLI should be paid to Officers upto Scale III as they work on ground level. hellobanker.in/?p=78143

By directing PSB to pay PLI up to scale 3 government of India has reacted negatively to UFBU going ahead with 27 january strike for 5 days banking and I was expecting this .it was clear from tone of the government side negotiator during conciliation meeting at CLC delhi on 22 and 23 january. Now the ball is in UFBU court to respond by giving strike notice for 30 and 31 march for 5 days banking and PLI discrimination.

Has PLI discrimination really ended? 15 days for Scale III and below. Up to 365 days for Scale IV and above. Is this equality? Same bank. Same targets. Different rewards. ❗️WHY I QUIT GOVERNMENT BANK JOB?❗️ Because banking was no longer adding value to my life. I see people talk about “respect,” “stability,” and “prestige” that come with a banking job. On paper, it still looks impressive. In reality, it feels heavy. A normal job should allow us to work, log off, and live. Instead, banking follows us home. Messages after office hours. Calls late in the evening from RO/ZO. Targets discussed at night as if sleep is optional and dignity negotiable. We worked full days only to be told it wasn’t enough. Numbers mattered more than effort. Targets mattered more than reality. Pressure always travelled downward, never upward. When targets weren’t met, explanations didn’t matter only humiliation did. Transfers were always hanging in the background. Not officially, but constantly. Meet targets or be “shifted.” Ask questions or be “noticed.” Fear quietly replaced motivation. Weekends existed in theory. Work life balance existed in circulars only. Everywhere I looked, it was the same story: different banks, same culture. Toxic pressure packaged as “performance.” RO pressure normalised. Fear dressed up as “discipline.” Silence expected in the name of “team spirit.” There was no space to think long-term. No room to grow as a human. Just constant firefighting, today’s target, today’s review, today’s call, repeated again tomorrow. Banking is supposed to be about trust and systems. But inside, it runs on anxiety. I was not angry. I was exhausted. This wasn’t about hating the profession or blaming individuals. It was about realising that a job that consumes our health, our time, and our self worth is too expensive no matter how secure it looks. A designation is not a life. A salary is not compensation for chronic stress. And “this is how banking is” is not a justification. When work takes everything and gives nothing back-not time, not peace, not dignity-it stops being a career. It has to. It becomes a heavy cost. I’m glad I walked away before it became even uglier. I made my choice with clarity and calm. Watching today’s banking environment sink deeper into toxic targets, relentless pressure, humiliation, and human cost, and knowing the future may be even harsher, I’m grateful I stepped away when I did. #BankersVoice #LifeBeyondTargets #MentalHealthMatters #QuitToLive
