🚨 BREAKING: Starcloud just turned Starlink’s laser network into the backbone for orbital AI data centers. A company called Starcloud has ordered 50+ Starlink Mini Laser terminals to equip 25+ future satellites. Not ground stations. Not fiber cables. Direct laser-linked computing nodes in orbit plugged straight into SpaceX’s space-based optical mesh. This is the sci-fi future arriving now: Orbital cloud computing AI servers floating in space Powered by 24/7 sunlight Connected globally at light speed via Starlink lasers The insane part: Starcloud says its satellites will eventually handle full AI inference and training workloads directly in orbit. Data won’t always need to come back to Earth to be processed. The advantages are massive: • Unlimited solar energy (no grid limits) • Zero land or water constraints • Passive radiative cooling in vacuum • Instant global relay with zero terrestrial bottlenecks • Near real-time Earth observation analysis Their first major spacecraft (Starcloud-3) is designed for 200 kilowatts in orbit a full-on space-based data center node, not just a satellite. And here’s the bigger picture: SpaceX has filed plans for up to ONE MILLION orbital data centers of its own. Read that again. We may be watching the birth of the first true space-based computing infrastructure layer for civilization. The internet already left the ground. Now AI might be next. What happens when the cloud literally moves into space? Follow for more frontier physics and future technology.

Thats crazy. “A huge fleet of humanoid robot tsunami is quietly forming.” EngineAl just shared a view of its Shenzhen Intelligent Manufacturing Base, claiming an output of one humanoid robot every 15 minutes - that's 35,000 humanoid robots per year, the highest production rate publicly claimed by a Chinese humanoid robotics company.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says future AI advancements won't scale unless we figure out nuclear fusion "We need to get to fusion as fast as possible" "I think AI can help us figure it out even faster, even if we have to burn a little bit more gas in the short term. If we figure out the future of energy with AI, it's a huge win" "I bet we can get to AGI or superintelligence without fusion, but to provide it at the scale that humanity will demand it, I think we do need it because people have a desire to use this stuff. People are just going to want more and more"

Elon Musk predicts that in the long term, work may become optional “Work will be optional It’ll be like playing sports or a video game. If you want to work, you can In the same way you can buy vegetables from a store or grow them yourself in your backyard. Growing them is harder, but some people still do it because they enjoy it” Advanced AI and robotics could eventually create a world where people work primarily because they want to ...not because they need to survive

Elon Musk just answered the one question behind every company he’s ever built. It has nothing to do with money. Musk: “The image in my mind is of a tiny candle in a vast darkness. A tiny candle of consciousness that could easily go out.” The universe is 13.8 billion years old. For almost all of that, nothing existed that could think. Nothing could feel. Nothing could wonder why it was here. Stars burned for billions of years and nothing ever knew what light was. Then on one rock, orbiting one unremarkable star, in one galaxy among two trillion others, matter arranged itself into something that could ask a question. That’s you. You are atoms forged inside a collapsing star billions of years ago that somehow learned to read this sentence. Musk: “We have 9,000 satellites up there, and not once have we had to maneuver around an alien spaceship.” No signals. No visitors. No wreckage. 93 billion light-years of observable space and nothing but silence. That silence might be the most important data point in human history. Because what happened on this planet might not have happened anywhere else. Not once in 13.8 billion years. Musk: “I think we need to assume that life and consciousness is extremely rare, and it might only be us.” If that’s true, every company he’s ever built makes perfect sense. SpaceX exists to make consciousness multi-planetary before a single asteroid turns 4 billion years of evolution into debris. Tesla exists to stop us from poisoning the only atmosphere we have. Neuralink exists because biology has an expiration date and consciousness might not have to. These aren’t businesses. They’re survival architecture for the only awareness the universe has ever produced. People debate the posts. Mock the timelines. Reduce everything to stock prices and headlines. But almost nobody engages with the argument underneath all of it. And the argument is this. Without consciousness, the universe still exists. Stars still burn. Galaxies still collide. But nothing experiences any of it. Without a witness, existence means nothing to anyone. You are that witness. The only one the universe has ever produced. And one person understood what that means.

Elon Musk: “Working will be optional" In a striking prediction, Elon Musk says AI and robotics will advance so far that most human jobs could disappear within the next 20 years, making work something people choose rather than need. He envisions a future of abundance where we focus on creativity, exploration, and meaning instead of survival labor. This shift could redefine society, education, and what it means to live a fulfilling life. The age of AI isn't just coming - it's reshaping everything.

🚨 FUSION COMPANIES ARE NOW TRYING TO SKIP THE TURBINE ENTIRELY. Most power plants even nuclear ones still rely on 19th-century technology: heat water → make steam → spin a giant turbine. But companies like Helion and TAE are attempting something radically different. They want to pull electricity directly from the fusion plasma itself using electromagnetic induction. No boiling water. No steam turbines. Just magnetic fields converting the motion of the plasma straight into electrical current. Why this matters: Direct energy conversion could make fusion: • Smaller and cheaper to build • Significantly more efficient • Faster to scale globally Instead of massive power stations, future reactors could behave more like advanced electromagnetic engines. The deeper implication is staggering: Humanity may be approaching the moment where we stop “burning” anything for energy. We would directly manipulate plasma and magnetic fields as programmable energy systems. Not fire. Not steam. Controlled stars turned straight into electricity. The line between reactor, battery, and electromagnetic machine could start to disappear. What happens when fusion power becomes this direct and scalable? Follow for more frontier physics and future technology.

🚨 THIS IS NOT LOOKING GOOD SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic will go public at the same time. That will force the market to absorb $200 BILLION of new supply. When that happens, funds don't find new money out of thin air. They sell what has already gone up. NVIDIA, SK HYNIX, Micron, INTEL: those are the bags that will get cut first. And if the leaders dump, the S&P 500 dumps with them. We saw the same pattern after COVID. Hype IPOs flooded the market --> liquidity got tighter --> air came out fast This time, the AI bottleneck trade looks even more crowded. Watch the upcoming IPOs closely. That's where you may first see what the market is forced to sell.

.@danshipper: "The AI jobpocalypse is not a thing. The mass unemployment thing that AI lab CEOs are talking about—that's not going to happen. AI models make yesterday's human competence cheap. But what's interesting is that since everyone's using the same models, it all looks the same. So it becomes commoditized. It's not valuable anymore. And what humans do is we go in there, and we're like, yeah, we have all this frozen human competence from yesterday, how do I use this to make something new and interesting, today?"
Lenny Rachitsky@lennysan

Automation is a lie. CLIs are over. The SaaSpocalypse is dumb. A year ago @danshipper came on the podcast to predict where AI was heading. He was remarkably right—including the call that everyone was sleeping on Claude Code. Dan has a unique lens into where things are going because his team at @every is possibly the most AI-pilled group of people in tech. I always learn a ton talking to Dan. So I brought him back for round two. We'll score these in exactly a year: 🔸 Every company will have one “super-agent” in Slack. 🔸 Codex and Claude Code will become the new operating system for knowledge work. 🔸 The AI job apocalypse is not happening. 🔸 PMs and designers will thrive. 🔸 We will read way more AI-generated writing and we will like it. 🔸 "I would buy SaaS stocks right now." 🚨 ELON MUSK DROPS A MASSIVE PREDICTION ON OPTIMUS For robots to be truly useful they must be intelligent. You should be able to ask them to do things naturally and they must be affordable to build at massive scale. Elon just made it clear: Tesla is the only company with all the pieces. Real world AI, vision, autonomy, manufacturing and cost efficiency. My prediction is that Optimus will be the biggest product of all time by far. Nothing will even be close. I think it will be 10 times bigger than the next biggest product ever made. This is the future America is building. Optimus is going to change everything.

Grok foundation model V9-Medium (1.5T) has finished training. Evals look good. A lot of Cursor data was added in supplementary training and there is more to come. Fine-tuning is underway and reinforcement learning begins in a few days. 2 to 3 weeks to public release. This will be a major improvement over the 0.5T v8-small that currently serves all Grok production traffic, especially for difficult coding tasks.
