@Marxrockatanski Having disposable income for investing is by definition having more money than you need to maintain your lifestyle, and I don’t think those people need to be taxed less than people that actually work for their money

@LathamAlGaib “More money than I needed” is doing a hell of a lot of work here champ. How much is that? Who decides? You dear leader? Keep your hands in your pockets and out of mine. You lazy cunts will bring down civilisation with this nonsense. Now…go and build something worth buying

You don’t understand i earned this money and house by already having more money than i needed, which is why i should pay a very special boy tax rate on the money I earn on it not the dirty worker rate, I didn’t work for it so why should i pay as much as people who do?

@LathamAlGaib @emerallddgreen I can’t pretend I haven’t heard the same opinions from blokes a million times — sometimes it’s racism, but sometimes people are articulating the strategy that has been taught to them — that immigration is the primary threat to wages & conditions.

Very interesting on this logic why young people aren’t supportive of one nation & why ex mining towns aren’t the happiest people on earth. Perhaps “nothing can get better blame your neighbour” deeply negative zero-sum nothingness isn’t a compelling message?

@emerallddgreen @tracksuitpant Willing to or forced to? Migrants are more vunerable because they can’t access Centrelink for years after they start working and paying tax and are less likely to know their rights. You should know better than to blame the other blokes on the tools with you

@LathamAlGaib @tracksuitpant They’re willing to work for less than Australians and drive down wages for Australians, I repeat that I have seen this happen with my own eyes. Frankly I am more concerned for the wellbeing of my countrymen and peers than migrants who are able to better their lives at the

@emerallddgreen @tracksuitpant Why are you blaming the migrants instead of the bosses then you should know better? Are you intentionally trying to confirm the myth of the white proletariat? Didn’t think many brickies read Sakai

@LathamAlGaib @tracksuitpant The migrants are being employed by other migrants and unscrupulous contractors are the ones who hire them. Unions have been historically extremely anti migration for the reasons I’ve mentioned. I am a current union member, and a former cfmeu member when I was a bricklayer.

@LathamAlGaib @Blue_Pie_Ninja @MelEwards202626 @sspencer_63 @Lock322 There is no additional obligations that come with a higher income. There are tax laws, but not additional obligations. These are your opinions so it’s on you to articulate them so people understand. You’re not talking facts here, just your opinion on tax, benefits and obligations

@LathamAlGaib @tracksuitpant I’m not for what it’s worth, I’m a tradesman, but you’ve gone quite mask off with what regard you have for the concerns of working people

@emerallddgreen @tracksuitpant Sounds like employers exploiting vulnerable migrants that are unaware or unable to fight for their legally entitled benefits, if only there was some sort of organised worker group, a union of workers if you will, that could help fight on their behalf to level the playing field

@tracksuitpant @LathamAlGaib All respect and I’m not trying to be antagonistic, but I have seen this happen with my own eyes. Migrant crew bids contracts extremely cheap, they do this by not paying their staff to the wages Australian law stipulates, everyone suffers and Aussies get driven out of industry

@LathamAlGaib @tracksuitpant It’s just not though? I’ve seen it happen in multiple industries. All tiling and gyprocking now is done by votes or Chinese who got the contract by undercutting. I appreciate that it can be presented in crass ways but it’s a real thing

@LathamAlGaib @Blue_Pie_Ninja @MelEwards202626 @sspencer_63 @Lock322 The more tax you pay doesn’t mean you benefit more 🧐. You don’t benefit from government services more by paying more tax. You’re making no sense, or you’re trying to sell a socialist/communist view which just means you’re not worth discussing this with.

Senator the Hon. Michaelia Cash
Labor handed Australians a Budget full of higher taxes, more debt and zero hope. Last night, Angus Taylor tore it apart. No more taxing you into the ground for daring to get ahead. No more flooding the country with people while your kids can't afford a home. No more handing welfare to people who haven't committed to this country. No more burning through your money and calling it progress.   Our plan is simple: cut taxes, build homes, cap migration and back Australians.   Labor has failed you. We won't.

@Lock322 @sspencer_63 I agree we should be confiscating and nationalising all negatively geared houses and making them available to vulnerable people in need of public housing, but for a Conservative Party like Labor this is probably as good as we’re gonna get

@LathamAlGaib @Eachwayjasetoo @Blue_Pie_Ninja @sspencer_63 @Lock322 You are an idiot! Maybe actually learn about our tax system before commenting! How much to politicians use tax system idiot! The premier in Victoria used over 280 grand to fund her 2nd home and your worried about average Aussies not paying enough. Fuck look in mirror

@LathamAlGaib @Blue_Pie_Ninja @MelEwards202626 @sspencer_63 @Lock322 It is not a social responsibility for those who benefitted the most from society have a chance to pay back their good fortune. This comment of yours is bloody nonsense. Tax is purely to pay for services to maintain the community, eg roads, police, schools, hospitals etc.

@Blue_Pie_Ninja @MelEwards202626 @sspencer_63 @Lock322 You don’t think many doctors wouldn’t set up family trusts? We’re taxed high, and yes this is tax avoidance but if we have a tax system that rewarded hard work, and the government reined in, and was accountable for it’s spending these tax avoidance schemes would be unnecessary.

@sspencer_63 The point being, this not an example of a wealthy family paying more tax. It is an example of an average family having more taken from them. This is not the flex the government thinks it is
