Just had a grant application feedback “Qualitative research methods unlikely to hit top journals”. It's disheartening that qualitative research is often dismissed as low-quality. Understanding patients' experiences and perspectives is crucial for improving care.

#suicideresearch Analysing interviews about communication of suicidal thoughts. Lots of expressions of powerlessness to communicate distress. This led to self-silencing (no one will care) or being silenced (I communicated but was ignored). This stuff makes me sad. @phdchat

After a looong wait, I started a new job today @Coram to do adoption social work in @harrow_council So far so good!! I’m excited to go back tomorrow 😃

A few years ago I fractured my spine - missed at A&E but GP was able to refer straight for MRI. Now I have a possible meniscus tear, I’ve had to be referred to @ConnectHealthUK from GP physio who will then refer on to hospital if needed. How is this a more efficient system?
