Imagine you had to choose your life at age 40: Option A: Single. No kids. $50M net worth. 850 credit score. Private jet. Option B: Married. 2 kids. $3M net worth. Drive a Toyota. 10 BTC in cold storage. 500 credit score. Fly Southwest. Be honest, which life are you choosing?

Can someone please explain to me how someone gets 8 hours of sleep, 10,000 steps a day, goes to work, maintains good hygiene, cleans their house, exercises, takes care of their animals, and has time for hobbies and socializing? Cause I feel like this is also propaganda.

@refull67 @Mr_Husky1 If you have multiple bags, carryon, backpack and tote purse (example) and you're allowed one carryon, consolidate and it becomes the size of a small checked bag, they can charge you. economy seating full flight, no room, now a checked bag.

"WOW okay so the most amazing thing just happened to me and I can’t help but share it with the world. American Airlines instituted a new policy where you have to pay to take a carry-on onto the plane. Which is ridiculous but off topic. I consolidate my bags into one and they measure it and say it’s just a little too big. They proceed to charge me $50, except they only take credit card, no cash. Since I just got back from Europe all my cards are being declined as Chase doesn’t know I’m back. They tell me that I’m going to have to miss the flight and head back to the ticket counter to pay down there. I’m pleading, devastated after a long day of travel. Then, this man walks up and says, “How much is it?” They tell him $50 and he says “I got it.” I’m astonished and tell him it’s fine not to worry and he hands the lady his card as the American Airlines employees stand in silence shocked by this man’s generosity. They swipe the card and he tells me to have a great flight and hop on board. I’m crying as I write this and as I board the flight. This man was an angel. I stop him as he’s sitting in first class and try to give him my money but he just shook me off and told me to pay it forward. My heart is so happy. There are good people in this world. Be that person for someone because I know after this I sure will be." 💕 Update: It was NFL player, Jermaine Gresham.

Ilia Malinin 🇺🇸 156.33 / 264.49 “Well, putting all the negatives aside, the atmosphere was really incredible. The support — honestly, even with that skate — the crowd never stopped cheering. They were supporting me the whole time, and that really meant a lot.” On the pressure and the difficult moment: “Honestly, the support is very special. In this sport, you have the privilege of being not only an athlete, but also an artist. But with that comes a lot of pressure — the expectations, the media, everything around it. On What caused the problems? “I’ve kind of said it already. It’s not a pleasant feeling, and I’m still trying to understand exactly what happened. But it’s done. I can’t change the outcome. Of course, a lot of people would go back and change it if they could. My life has had a lot of ups and downs, and in that moment, everything just felt very overwhelming. I honestly didn’t know how to handle it.” On whether missing the quad Axel started the unraveling: “I wouldn’t say it necessarily threw me off. I knew I didn’t need a perfect program. I still could have had a really good skate. But then more mistakes happened. I don’t know exactly what it was specifically — I’m still trying to understand. So I don’t really have a clear answer yet.” On congratulating Mikhail Shaidorov: “I actually went up to him and congratulated him. I watched him skate from the locker room, and I’m just so proud of him. I heard he didn’t have the best season. We’re all in this sport together, and we’re there for each other. That’s what makes this sport special. I think people forget that sometimes. They only see us competing and assume we’re rivals without good relationships. But it’s actually the opposite. There’s joy, motivation, encouragement — we’re like a big family.” #FigureSkating #MilanoCortina2026 #Olympics #WinterOlympics

For the first time, “smart” airbags will be mandatory for select skiing events at this year's Winter Games. The mandatory safety measure will be compulsory for all downhill and Super G competitions. The airbags are meant to protect an athlete's chest and torso. They use motion sensors and GPS data to deploy only in a crash event. The airbags were already worn regularly by some elite skiers, including Lindsey Vonn, whose own airbag deployed during a crash in her final race prior to these games.

“My name’s Walter. I’m the night custodian at Lincoln Middle School. Been mopping these halls for 11 years. Most folks don’t even know my name. I’m just ‘the janitor guy’ who empties trash and fixes broken lockers. But I notice things. Like locker 247. Every morning, I’d find food wrappers stuffed in the vents—candy bars, chip bags, cracker boxes. At first, I thought it was just messy kids. Then I realized someone was hiding food. One night, I stayed late. Around 8 p.m., I heard the side door creak. A girl, maybe 13, sneaked in with a backpack. Went straight to locker 247, stuffed it with grocery bags, then left quickly. Next morning, the food was gone. I didn’t report it. Instead, I watched. For two weeks, same pattern. She’d stock it at night. By morning, empty. Finally, I left a note in the locker: ‘You’re not in trouble. I just want to help. — Walter, the custodian’ Next night, she came to my supply closet, terrified. “Please don’t tell anyone,” she begged. Her name was Sarah. She’d been sneaking food to three younger kids—brothers whose dad worked double shifts and forgot to buy groceries. “They’re too embarrassed to ask anyone,” she whispered. “So I use my lunch money and… borrow from my mom’s pantry.” My heart shattered. “What if,” I said slowly, “locker 247 just… had food in it? And nobody asked questions?” Her eyes went wide. I started small. Spent $30 of my paycheck on peanut butter, bread, juice boxes. Left it in the locker overnight. By morning, gone. So I added more—granola bars, apples, crackers. Then something unexpected happened. I found money taped inside the locker door. $5 and a note: ‘I’m a teacher. I know what you’re doing. Here’s for more food.’ Then $20 from someone else. ‘My kid graduated from Lincoln. This school saved him. Keep going.’ Within a month, other staff knew. The nurse donated. The librarian brought canned soup. The gym teacher left his Costco card. “Buy in bulk,” he said. “I’ll cover it.” Locker 247 became legendary—but quiet. No announcements. No assemblies. Just… there. A place where hungry kids could take what they needed without shame. Sarah graduated last year. Came back to see me during finals week. “Walter, I’m studying social work now,” she said. “Because of you. You taught me something. Hunger hides in plain sight. But so does kindness.” She handed me a photo. Locker 247—but at a different school. Across town. “My college volunteer project,” she smiled. “We’re putting them everywhere.” I cried in my supply closet that night. Sixty-nine years old, crying over a locker. Now? Seventeen schools in our county have them. They call it The 247 Project. Stock the locker. Ask no questions. Feed the invisible kids. I’m just a janitor. I mop floors and unclog toilets. But I learned this: Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is notice. And then quietly make space for dignity. So look around—at school, work, your neighborhood. Someone’s hiding their hunger. Their struggle. Their shame. Leave something behind. Food. Money. Hope. Locker 247 isn’t just metal and paint. It’s proof that caring doesn’t need permission. Just action. And it starts with seeing what everyone else walks past. Let this story reach more hearts.” ~ Meredith Watson

I found this in a handbag I thrifted yesterday. I didn't notice it until today. I wonder if I should go and let the thrift shop know. One of my friends says I definitely should return it. I told her I don't think I need to, but she insists she knows what she's talking about because she used to work as a thrift store manager before. Should I return it? I think since I bought the bag, I feel like I don't have to, but I'm not sure. By Amelie Murray

"My name's Raymond. I'm 73. I work the parking lot at St. Joseph's Hospital. Minimum wage, orange vest, a whistle I barely use. Most people don't even look at me. I'm just the old man waving cars into spaces. But I see everything. Like the black sedan that circled the lot every morning at 6 a.m. for three weeks. Young man driving, grandmother in the passenger seat. Chemotherapy, I figured. He'd drop her at the entrance, then spend 20 minutes hunting for parking, missing her appointments. One morning, I stopped him. "What time tomorrow?" "6:15," he said, confused. "Space A-7 will be empty. I'll save it." He blinked. "You... you can do that?" "I can now," I said. Next morning, I stood in A-7, holding my ground as cars circled angrily. When his sedan pulled up, I moved. He rolled down his window, speechless. "Why?" "Because she needs you in there with her," I said. "Not out here stressing." He cried. Right there in the parking lot. Word spread quietly. A father with a sick baby asked if I could help. A woman visiting her dying husband. I started arriving at 5 a.m., notebook in hand, tracking who needed what. Saved spots became sacred. People stopped honking. They waited. Because they knew someone else was fighting something bigger than traffic. But here's what changed everything, A businessman in a Mercedes screamed at me one morning. "I'm not sick! I need that spot for a meeting!" "Then walk," I said calmly. "That space is for someone whose hands are shaking too hard to grip a steering wheel." He sped off, furious. But a woman behind him got out of her car and hugged me. "My son has leukemia," she sobbed. "Thank you for seeing us." The hospital tried to stop me. "Liability issues," they said. But then families started writing letters. Dozens. "Raymond made the worst days bearable." "He gave us one less thing to break over." Last month, they made it official. "Reserved Parking for Families in Crisis." Ten spots, marked with blue signs. And they asked me to manage it. But the best part? A man I'd helped two years ago, his mother survived, came back. He's a carpenter. Built a small wooden box, mounted it by the reserved spaces. Inside? Prayer cards, tissues, breath mints, and a note, "Take what you need. You're not alone. -Raymond & Friends" People leave things now. Granola bars. Phone chargers. Yesterday, someone left a hand-knitted blanket. I'm 73. I direct traffic in a hospital parking lot. But I've learned this: Healing doesn't just happen in operating rooms. Sometimes it starts in a parking space. When someone says, "I see your crisis. Let me carry this one small piece." So pay attention. At the grocery checkout, the coffee line, wherever you are. Someone's drowning in the little things while fighting the big ones. Hold a door. Save a spot. Carry the weight no one else sees. It's not glamorous. But it's everything." Let this story reach more hearts.... Credit: Mary Nelson
