Rana Ayyub @RanaAyyub posted about the abusive messages she received on Instagram in Twitter. Halala has itself become an abusive word in an online environment, with halala becoming a code word for rape, like when a person texted journalist Rana Ayyub, writing,
Rana Ayyub@RanaAyyub

Indian Hindus need to take a deep hard look at the hatred that is festering in the community. What kind of hatred allows these seemingly ordinary humans, family men to sexually abuse, threaten women with this brazen impunity.

The ECI already holds this data in structured form. It chose to release scanned images instead — effectively locking out public scrutiny. We broke that barrier. Here's everything we found, in full, open to verification: sir-data-decoded.altnews.in

West Bengal's 2026 electoral rolls are 'public' for the record. But they are published as scanned image PDFs, behind CAPTCHAs, with watermarks obscuring voter names. You can't search them. You can't analyse them. And that's not an accident. @Holytripper altnews.in/bengal-sir-the…

Hijab and Muslims Worship Are Fundamental Rights: Supreme Court Affirms Supreme Court Dismisses Rivers State University Appeal, Upholds Muslim Students’ Right to Worship on Campus ABUJA, Feb. 10, 2026. The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by Rivers State University (RSU), ending a long legal dispute that started in 2012 over the right of Muslim students to pray and have a place of worship on campus. The case was brought by Umaru Wazuru and 98 other Muslim students, who complained that the university authorities prevented them from observing prayers and establishing a mosque, even though churches were already operating within the campus. In 2013, the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt ruled in favour of the students. The court held that denying Muslim students a place of worship violated their constitutional right to freedom of religion. RSU appealed the judgment, but in 2017, the Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal and affirmed the High Court’s decision. The university went further to the Supreme Court. On February 10, 2026, the Supreme Court unanimously dismissed the appeal, confirming that Muslim students have the right to worship freely and should be allocated a suitable space on campus. This decision is final and binding, and the university is expected to comply with the court’s ruling.

Dear Student, Attention theft is one of the biggest problems we face in today’s digital world. Distraction has quietly become the default, and focus is now a skill that has to be trained on purpose. Let’s be honest: the problem isn’t that you’re lazy, it’s that your phone is always calling your name. You sit down with good intentions, and five minutes later you’re scrolling without even remembering how you got there. That’s not a character flaw, that’s how these apps are designed to work. The first thing to understand is that willpower alone won’t save you. It runs out fast. So instead of trying to 'be strong,' make it harder to get distracted. Put your phone in another room, turn off notifications, log out of apps if you have to, freeze the app, hide it (my personal favourite). When distraction takes effort, focus lasts longer without you fighting yourself. Next, give your brain a routine. Work at the same time, in the same place, with the same setup. Even a small habit like opening your notebook or laptop before touching your phone trains your brain to switch into work mode automatically. When it’s time to work, don’t tell yourself you’ll continue until you’re done. That feels heavy and makes you avoid starting. Instead, commit to just 25 minutes of full focus. Set a timer, work until it rings, then stop. That’s it. Most times, once you begin, momentum kicks in and you’ll want to continue anyway. Starting is the hardest part, this makes starting easy. If you feel the urge to check your phone, don’t act on it immediately. Write it down so you remember it later, then go back to what you were doing. (In this way you are training your brain). During breaks, don’t jump to another screen. Stand up, stretch, walk, breathe or do nothing for a minute. Boredom is not the enemy, it resets your attention. Finally, use social media on purpose, not by accident. Choose a time for it and stick to that. And when you mess up (because everyone does), don’t beat yourself up. Reset and continue. Focus isn’t about being perfect, it’s about coming back, again and again. You will succeed. #BonesTutes

BREAKING: A new UN report finds that Israel’s assault on Gaza - with the destruction of health care, education, infrastructure, even the banking system - has erased 69 years of human development, marking the worst economic collapse ever recorded. This is not war: it is genocide.

Currently, AMU has no religion based reservation and has 40% internal quota ( meaning a person of any religion who has passed the qualifying examination comes under this quota / institutional reservation).
