@HermesAgentTips I was using Telegram but switched to Discord. The ability to create channels and then threads under those channels makes it the obvious choice for me.

@Teknium Thanks. Turns out I lost the update before applying the patch. Now with update + patch + re-auth it works🙏

Okay if you are on the latest Hermes Agent update and use OpenAI OAuth, how is it doing now? Reliably working yet?

@Teknium Hmm then again - even with succesful Hermes openai auth and provider response in CLI, telegram is saying: ⚠️ Provider authentication failed: No Codex credentials stored. Run hermes auth to authenticate. Run hermes model to re-authenticate. Any suggestions?

If you have been experiencing issues with OpenAI Codex oAuth, it is now fixed. OpenAI has been fixing it in the background and then seemed to change their whole spec today to solve it, you must `hermes update` to fix. Enjoy

@jamiegarzi @NetworkChuck Would love recommendations as Well. Run openclaw on gpt 5.4 on two plus subscriptions - then Grok 4.1 fast, minimax and lately qwen 3.6 for minor tasks, and envoke Claude for more complicated runs. No doubt Claude is better in openclaw, but expensive.

GPT 5.4 for coding 100%. I hit rate limits very fast with it, but, I am only on the Plus plan. Even when using mini for most medial tasks, rate limits are too quick. I switched to using Minimax 2.7 for most medial tasks (including light coding jobs), and so far it's been good. The limits are far more forgiving and haven't hit them yet. Anything creative/content wise I use Sonnet via API. Expensive when you're used to using a plan, but, there isn't a model I have tried yet that has come remotely close for creative/content work than Claude Sonnet. I'd love to be recommended or shown other options though for this if anyone has any?

So, right now, for frontier model OpenClaw alternatives, what are people switching to? GPT 5.4? Gemini 3.1 Pro?

OpenClaw users - I would seriously consider making GLM 5.1 as your workhorse model It was specifically trained on agentic tasks and does exceptionally well at: -instruction following -tool calling And it’s about 5-8x cheaper than Opus So if your agent is running on API credits, this is probably the best bang for your buck right now I switched one of my agents over yesterday that was on Minimax 2.7 and felt an immediate lift Not yet available on @OpenRouter (c’mon guys) so need to get it directly via @Zai_org account
Z.ai@Zai_org

GLM-5.1 is available to ALL GLM Coding Plan users! z.ai/subscribe

@gmoneyNFT What worked for me: set up crons from the CLI, not through the bot. Key flags: --session isolated --wake now. Isolated gives a fresh session each run instead of relying on heartbeat (the default, and why they die). Wake now fires the agent immediately on schedule. Runs reliably.

@ClausMller17 @ugly_cowboy @MindCuriosita @Tesla There is absolutely no evidence to support your point here - do you have reports showing Teslas are unsafe? Also, despite the 45% failure rate, Teslas are amongst the cheapest cars to maintain during ownership.

Ouch @Tesla In Denmark all vehicles needs to be inspected when becoming 4 years old and then every 2nd year. The Model 3 is renowned for failing inspections. Model Y have now become old enough for the 4Y inspections and sets a new record. 45%(!) fails inspection! $TSLAQ $TSLA
