This is a great story about how Trump and his family are profiting off the renaming of the Palm Beach International Airport, with the blessing of Fla Gov. Ron DeSantis. I guess everything is up for grabs in America these days, with no input from local taxpayers or voters.

Not enough people are talking about this. A Florida airport was renamed after Donald Trump. He walked away with the trademark, the licensing rights, and a deal that lets him profit off every piece of merchandise sold there. But the story of how he got it is even worse. County staff told commissioners that rejecting the name change would put state transportation funding at risk. DeSantis has already removed state attorneys and school board members who dared to cross him. That is the reality the Democratic commissioner who cast the deciding vote was living in when she made her choice: hand Donald Trump control of a public airport or watch Florida Republicans strip funding from the very people she was elected to represent. That is absolutely insane. You should hear me chant in Hebrew! Surah Ikhlas speaks to the one-ness of God, and it’s what I offer when I visit a mosque. It’s comparable in important ways to the Shema, one of the central prayers in Jewish liturgy, which also declares that God is one. In fact, the Hebrew word for one, “Echad,” is the same as the Arabic word, “Achad.” But here’s David Frum telling me to pipe down about it in a way that manages to be antisemitic and Islamophobic at the same time.

Frum is both out of his depth and lying about Muslims as usual. Lander beautifully recited Surah Ikhlas, one of the most famous chapters of the Quran which affirms the oneness of God. It says nothing about Christianity and is an affirmation of monotheism: quran.com/al-ikhlas

Voter: I asked @TomSteyer the exact same question I'd asked @XavierBecerra two weeks ago. I said to both of them, "You've come to the fastest-warming county in the lower 48, a place that's been hit by wildfires—do you have a climate plan?" For asking that question, I was thrown out of Xavier Becerra's town hall. I was escorted out, and my friends who were with me were roughed up. Here, Tom not only appreciated the question, he gave a substantive, well-thought-out answer. It was night and day. So I'm excited, and I'm going to be voting for Tom in June.
