I’m no expert on tactics so I won’t act like one now.
What I will say: Klopp benefited enormously from having Lijnders who’s a rare, world class no. 2. Constantly testing tactical ideas & making new plans. He’s clearly a big reason for City’s revival.

We don’t mind who supports our club, as long as they align with our values. Love the club like we do and you’re seen as one of us. Forcing division over ex players opinions is mental. And for the record, if you can’t appreciate what @Carra23 done for LFC, you certainly don’t see the game like we do. Second most appearances ever, a number that will not be beaten. 11 trophies, including FA Cup and European Cup. From 2004-2007 the debate was Terry or Carra. For me personally he was one of the best CB’s the club’s ever had. If we were going to battle, I’d want Jamie next to me! Wore his heart on his sleeve and gave everything he had for that red shirt. He may not have sprayed 40yard passes, but the notion that he was average is complete nonsense. Concentrated on defending and put everything he had into it. A top fella who does all sorts for local charities and supports many local businesses. A hero to many of us, but you’d never know it if you bumped into him coz he’s as grounded as they come.

@SajadIqbalLFC I changed my mind 12 months later as I think MO this season didn’t show enough off the pitch, I don’t really care about on the pitch as it’s his first average season. I’d like him to have spoken more for the club after defeats & not kill the manager publicly.

Rapid or fast classical is probably the best for broadcasts, but blitz is still preferable to 5 hour games w/ 30min between moves.

Classical chess makes for a better ‘spectator sport’ than fast chess. Those who say otherwise, I suspect they don’t actually follow chess broadcasts.

@Lax_CoachD The chart has serious outliers that create an illusion of something that wasn’t the case. There’s a period where a 3 game period of 8.5 exists. It’s replaced by a 3 game period of about 3.8. A huge drop off. But not really a drop off.

In the past two months since the original post, pts/match have been slightly below performance level relative to xG differential. What hasn't changed is that the entire season, Liverpool has operated at about the level of a fringe UCL or solid UEL team - the 5th best in the league. At this point it is just the reality of the situation.

@LFCAmericanReds Dom not being a RB and Bradley pre ACL still could have overlapped and gotten Mo closer to goal. Where he was last season. But we went away from that for some reason. That's just one decision of many I take issue with. Of course it's not all on him, but I think a lot of it is.

Playing in games is different from having the fitness to bomb up and down the pitch for 90 minutes. Frimpong has played less than 1000 minutes in the Prem and CL. Szobo is wasted at RB. Bradley has a torn ACL. It’s a formation that requires peak fitness. Something we’ve struggled with all season
