I didn't understand how the Man City and PSG games were big for Slot because those two are way ahead of Liverpool right now, so surely results against Wolves, Spurs, Burnley and - coming up - Everton meant more. But this turned into a humiliation and will likely damage him.

@BayernPapa The two leagues are so different. Italy was ripe with corruption and match fixing. Serie A has done a horrendous job of promoting the league and obtaining solid tv right deals. Italy has let their own league die.

Many German football fans say they want a weaker Bayern to make the league more competitive, but be careful what you wish for. Juventus dominated Italian football for decades, and the best Italian players played there. Now Juve sucks, and so does the Italian national team.
Bayern is singlehandedly holding Germany together. Appreciate and thank God for us.

@_Tobolos_ It’s an interesting conundrum. PL is more known for having a much more abundance of talent. La Liga is known for only two teams with a relatively lighter physical toll. Serie A was the same back in the early 2000’s. Bundesliga is somewhat the same as La Liga. Talent concentrated

From Zizou to Kaka to Xavi/Iniesta to Pedri/Vitinha
In fact I would say with the exception of prime Henry and CR7, the PL has never had a top 3 player in the world at any given time

Unsurprisingly as he works his way back from an ACL injury, Rodri hasn't been at his best this season. But make no mistake about it, losing Rodri, the 2nd Premier League player to win the Ballon D'Or since 2001, to Real Madrid... In the same summer as Salah leaves and within 3 years of Kane and De Bruyne's departures... Would be a yet another sign that the absolute BEST players in the world, are playing outside of England.

Wirtz would never try this at Liverpool. He‘d pass it backwards to avoid negative reactions in case he skied it. He’s a player who needs confidence. Slot doesn’t give him that feeling. "Bundesliga tax" has got nothing to do with this, Wirtz would do well under Arteta for example.
