@DebRoberts22249 The idea that summary notes were enough is shaky. Even if the obstetric notes had been seen beforehand, that still doesn't explain why he didn't look at them. I don't see how the length of time or ages are relevant to that. Where did I say Dr Evans was the only expert witness?

Dr Evans also said he had notes that referred to the obstetric findings. The answers probably came beforehand, don't you think? Let's not forget that there is a finite 13 month period. The babies were of varying ages, some fays old, some weeks old, some months old. Why on earth do you think Dr Evans was the only expert witness? It makes you look very silly.

What neonatologist Dr Mike Hall - Letby's expert witness - believes about the theory of birth injury for Baby O, apparently McDonalds latest submission. Dr Hall definitely viewed the baby's medical records, and heard what the experts said. What McDonald and Lee have had access to is questionable. And of course, they're quoting Professor Phil Bennett, who hasn't seen the medical records, and knows only what he has been told, which, as we know, the people driving this are less than honest, so against the medical evidence his views are pretty worthless. He's assuming he has been told the full facts. He probably won't know for instance that the baby thrived for two days with no evidence of any birth injury. His liver was checked and was fine and within hours had suffered bruising so severe it resembled car crash injuries, caused, as Letby admitted, on her "watch." He suffered the injury to his liver, he suffered air embolism and he was overfed with air and milk. The baby died in agony. #innocencefraud

@DebRoberts22249 I agree obsestrics were mentioned what concerns me though is that Dr evans said he didn't review the obsestric notes. How can he reliably exclude natrual explanations without reviewing all potentially relevant medical information?

@Layla1197536 Do you think obstetrics weren't brought up in the trial? There had been thorough investigations into obstetrics.

@Courtwatch_Olly @DebRoberts22249 @benshep20 Funnily enough when your a highly qualified expert it is likely that you will know other highly qualified experts. Their are only so many experts with the calibre used in Lucy's CCRC application so it's not unusual that they know eachother.

@DebRoberts22249 @benshep20 The same Phil Bennett who is a work colleague of Neena Modi. One doesn’t need much imagination to predict what reaction there’d be from Letby supporters if mates and colleagues of Dr Evans were selected as expert witnesses.

It's pretty despicable that Letbyists are trying to link serial baby killings to the real maternity crisis. They have never had a high mortality rate. Not even in the 13 months Letby was killing babies. In 2013/14 there were 18 stillbirths and 5 neonatal deaths. In 2015/16 there were 18 stillbirths and 13 neonatal deaths. In 2017/18 there were 16 stillbirths and no neonatal deaths. The 2015/16 figures are not 24 months. There were no deaths after June 2016 when Letby was removed from the unit. They represent 18 months. #innocencefraud

@DebRoberts22249 @DavidTBTaylor I have read most of the avalible transcripts from the trial and staffing levels were brought up by the defense on numerous occasions this is just one example from Ben myers during his closing speech.

@Layla1197536 @DavidTBTaylor 🙄Letby conceded that for every baby in the indictment understaffing played no part. Go listen to the transcripts. The medical evidence proved Letby's guilt - 15 times.

@DebRoberts22249 @DavidTBTaylor A understaffed unit would affect patient care but if you ask a nurse exactly how it contributed to one particular death it's not surprising she couldnt give a answer it's complex. The state of the unit doesn't prove innocence the medical evidence does. But it is vital context.

@DebRoberts22249 @DavidTBTaylor After the downgrade, the unit would have been caring for less babies and wouldn't accept high risk cases. That means staff time and expertise could have been concentrated on a smaller less complex patient group rather than being stretched across both routine and complex cases.

@DavidTBTaylor No, I didn't. 4 out of the 7 murdered babies would still have been admitted. Only her toxic presence was a defining factor.

@noBWrexit @HenryB12345 They couldnt find one for two reasons. Firstly it is incredibly hard to find defense experts as defending someone accused of harrowing crimes is a huge reputational risk and secondly the defense had significantly less money and resources than the prosecution had.

@HenryB12345 Didn't have one because he was fired. They couldn't find anyone who woukd dispute it. You can't dispute something that is 100% true. Even now her new panel has no endocrinologist and you don't even ask why. Hindmarsh evidence is not disproven just because he resigned.

Lucy letby white knight defenders explained. Know nothing about the trial and that she had a endocrinologist expert who didn't disagree with insulin poising and yet are here they are claim she is innocent with 100% conviction. Zero shame.
Henry B 🕷🇪🇺@HenryB12345

@noBWrexit @Telegraph The defence didn’t have an expert on insulin. They should have done. If it comes to a retrial the whole insulin bit will quietly dropped by the CPS.

@terifar333 @Adrian_Hilton How were the jury supposed to come to the correct conclusion with incorrect information? Jurors aren't infallible they are ordinary people who can and do make mistakes. I and many others hope that Lucy Letby is safe and as okay as she can be given her circumstances.

@Adrian_Hilton Just hope Lucy Letby is having an equally poor time in prison. The constant screaming of media on the periphery is just ridiculous. We must trust the 12 people who gave a reasoned verdict, and her defence to have done their job with diligence at the time. 1/2

I am a whisker away from this: Jamie Varley tortured and murdered little Preston Davey, and clearly made his short life an absolute misery. Hanging might be too good for him. And yet.. ..and yet.. If baby-killers should hang, Lucy Letby was found guilty of killing seven of them. But three years later, there's some considerable doubt about the safety of those convictions, which were absolute and certain in August 2023. If capital punishment for baby-killing had been an option, a judge would have sentenced her to hang. In wielding the sword, the state is not infallible. But I hope Jamie Varley finds his time in prison as tortuous and as miserable (if not as brief) as he made the life of Preston Davey. RIP.

"I have to say - I would hang the baby killer personally." Retired Scotland Yard detective Mike Neville offers his services as hangman - and argues that history shows the death penalty makes a difference. @DuncanBarkes

@BreakellWe60182 @Hawke180380 @YourPope2026 @cjsnowdon Staff phoned her to ask how to do a procedure which she later wrote policy on. She submitted many datix reports trying to improve care. She was flexible with shifts being accommodating and she pushed for a child to be transferred with the family later expressing gratitude etc.

@Hawke180380 @YourPope2026 @cjsnowdon Complained about Letbys appalling behaviour around the death of their babies. Inappropriate behaviour. Excited about death Stalking on face book. You seem to think she was a wonderful nurse and the original tutor who failed her for a coldness and lack of empathy was wrong.

And here we have the infamous idiotic claims of Ollie on Letby As an exemplarary nurse with no motive or behavioural issues - hasn’t read tutors description - parents descriptions - nurses descriptions- and someone keeping medical records and face book stalking @cjsnowdon

These people are actually living in an alternate universe. They are ALL totally ignorant to the ten month trial. They are ALL totally unaware of the proof of deliberate harm found within the babies' medical records and post-mortems. The standard/burden of proof was met - Letby has fifteen convictions for unrelated babies, various methods - mostly carried out by a nurse's routine everyday equipment - a syringe. This is not similar to ANY other miscarriage of justice. Those verdicts were reached by a jury who sat through every day of the trial and heard and saw things that no one should have to hear about society's most vulnerable. Tiny infants totally reliant on those paid to care for them. Things that these Poundshop Inspector Clouseaus, whilst clutching their Letby-coloured pearls, know nothing about, nor do they want to, whilst they sit comfortably at their screens, never once putting themselves in the situation of the families, and imagining being told that others know better about what happened to their loved one than they do. They gain too much from "contrarian" views. Vile. #innocencefraud
