@shoe0nhead We wanted nothing to do with kids. Then 35 hit. We had great paying jobs, a nice house, vacations, and all the material things we'd ever wanted. So why did it all feel so damned pointless and empty? 2 kids later, and I am many things (Tired among them) but I am not empty.

@NevEngi I responded before seeing another reply talking about discerning between cults wearing Christianity as a costume and actual Christian churches. While I'm admittedly biased towards them, finding a Roman Catholic Church (The OGs of Christianity) would likely remove any impostors

@NevEngi The difference between denominations are rooted in dogma that doesn't really come up until you get deep into theological debates (Ex: How the Holy Trinity is understood) If you just pick a denomination at random and show up on Sunday, you probably won't regret the experience.

I think I found a parenting hack. We're on a road trip with the kids and I've heard "Are we there yet" dozens of times. I started asking back "I dunno baby/buddy, are we there yet?" To which I get a dejected "No..." It only took like 2-3 times and they haven't asked again.
