@TourPicks @EPatGolf Rule 5.6a? How can some rules be ridiculously stringent (unintentionally brushing a grain of sand in a bunker anyone!?) but this one is a big 'meh'!? It just transfers to everyday golf making Saturdays a bore too.

@EPatGolf Here is nearly 5 minutes of Scottie assessing his shot. Brooks with the hand gestures lol and Gary looks to have said something before Scottie threw up his hands seemingly not knowing he was up 😂 idk

@Simon_Nixon It’s not a loan. It’s a tax. Most people never pay it off. Regardless of wealth kids have a choice about whether to go to uni or start working maybe as an apprentice factoring in this tax in their decision-making. People will value it more. Many uni students will not pay anything

Graduates will need to earn £57,000 a year before their repayments start to pay off the capital on their student loans at current interest rates. Just 6,440 out of 137,100 2018-2020 graduates have been able to reduce the size of their debt. Iniquitous. thetimes.co.uk/article/57-000…

Genuinely don't care if your read the green by eye, plumb bob, aim point or clairvoyance, but all this foot traffic around the hole is terrible etiquette. Players and caddies all having a stomp round there.

@TheGolfDivoTee I'm all for whatever works, but I'm uncomfortable about how close the feet get to the hole. There seems to be less care about this with AP sometimes.

@LouStagner Fulford's hazards are now too easy to carry. The fairways are narrowed by bunkering on either side. Beyond them is typically open and the balance of risk/reward for a longer hit has somewhat changed.

Let's start a thread of all the "obsolete" courses. Would love to get a list of venues that have held a professional event in the past that can no longer hold one. Details as to why it's obsolete are needed as well (e.g., current yardage, historical scoring, etc...). 👇👇

Stroke and distance is the worst. Would love for it to be changed. May as well just go ahead and change divots in fairways too, seeing that we are making the game better here... 😎

@SteveCarrollNCG Dash to the first tee straight from work me, is much worse at golf than warmed up, well prepped, ready to go me. WHS suggests I treat both of those rounds the same which would inflate my HI. I'd end up shooting an embarrassingly low score on a comp and this doesn't feel ok.

@scottfawcett Am amendment to rule 16 wouldn't be so tough. Lots of strange occurrences already defined in there. Cheaters gonna cheat whatever the rules are.

@HannahHoldenNCG Is about a standard I guess. What does it mean if a club is a 7iron? Referring to a loft range in degrees seems the most reliable comparitor. If that's too much loft, then use a different club? 🤷‍♂️

Why do people get so angry about iron lofts? Why does it matter what loft a club is if it does its job??? I don’t understand the drama 🤣

@LouStagner Tee shots. I think this would win by a margin. Their approach game may be ace, but there's only so good you can be when you're already ob or having tree trouble.

Current group-chat-topic with friends: You can have the average tour pro hit one shot per hole for you. If you pick tee shots, that's all they can hit for entire round. What are you picking? 1. Tee shots 2. Approach shots 3. Short game shots 4. Putts

@4golfonline @LouStagner @GregChalmersPGA Don't think you gave enough air time to golfers simply not being ready to hit the ball when it's their turn to go! Happens with regular handicap golfers often. So many, many reasons for this but it boils down to not being aware and not being ready.

@4golfonline Competition me is a different golfer to beers-in-the-bag, straight on the 1st after work with no warm up me. Yet both should count equally!? I'd be inflating my handicap unfairly(?) if I followed guidelines.

This one is not surprising, but still eye-opening. 😲😲😲 10-index from 200-yards in the fairway: Chances they hit the green: ▶️~17% Chances they leave it more than 55-yards short: ▶️~18% Data from @ArccosGolf
