Let me illustrate how the algorithm on this platform isn’t your friend, even if you pay for the stupid subscription to avoid being penalized. I will keep posting here, but henceforth ya'll can consider the other place to be my main account.

@VernaTheLioness yeah, there is no good reason, it was an experiment which conclusion proved just that.

@LeKroox If I may, why do you bother giving this site your money then? By all accounts, this seems like a poor investment.

@Sir_PinkPirate yeah, possibly. Twitter wasn't perfect before Elon, but at least it was workable, so let's hope bsky's inevitable algo at least won't be a black box.

@LeKroox Yeah, this is pretty much it. it's nice to have content just naturally get shared. I like bSky for now, but this works because they are still small, I doubt it will last, once they have enough user they will need an algorithm eventually, and we will be in the same boat again.

@PixelCanuck yeah, that's true too. But the end result is the same.

@LeKroox Yeah. This might not just be "the algorithm" though A lot of accounts on twitter are just dead accounts nowadays 190k followers probably includes a loooot of people who never log in anymore Still, you gotta go where the engagement is
