27 years ago today, one of the most prolific regional tornado outbreaks in memory struck the Oklahoma City metro area. The strongest tornado, an F5 that tore through Moore, was on the ground for 1 hour, 25 minutes, killed 41 people and caused $1.9 billion in damage.
