@fromsoftserve I got stuck on here to for a minute. You just gotta go to the map and click inspect for the howling hill camp and there should be a mission option.

so this is a good example of crimson desert not being terribly clear or maybe i'm an idiot. the next step in the main story says "Dispatch the Howling Hill expansion mission" but the minimap spot is right here. it had a pop up once about sending comrades but I don't remember how

@ZoieNolan4 @Pirat_Nation Yeah I’ve even been playing it on Xbox series S and I’m still having a blast. Graphics isn’t as good obviously but combat is amazing. Hopefully they add more story content to give characters depth. I think it will be something you continue to play instead of replay ability.

Anonymous devs from Pearl Abyss have revealed the troubled development of Crimson Desert.
The game began as an MMO prequel to Black Desert Online but was later converted to a single-player title after years of work.
In its final stages, major leadership changes triggered significant story rewrites including renaming the protagonist and scrapping key mercenary elements.
These last-minute shifts left the game with a disjointed narrative, mismatched features, and overly cluttered controls.
The issues were only finalized shortly before launch.

Dragons Dogma 2 somehow has a more cohesive story and a blank custom character that is also somehow better than Kliff, my PAWNS had more character and personality than Kliff.

@GameKing89 @poliwa_93 There’s a difference obviously but 75 percent of people really don’t care. It’s cool if the graphics are a little better but what really matters is simply does the combat feel good and is the game actually good. Realistic grass only takes you so far.

@TheRealZephryss None, seeing as people can’t even pre-order it currently on Xbox. Says it’s available to pre-order, then when you get to the checkout it comes up with an error message. Apparently, I’m not the only one having this issue with it either over the last week or so 🤷♂️

@cannab1senjoyer @7Spideycomics They let it be known a year ago that the story isn’t the focus at all. The story will probably be generic and very average. But at least they were transparent a long time ago about it. This is an adventure/ fighting game. Story is not a main factor. May not be for everyone.

Crimson Desert world is so massive and diverse, it took John Linneman from Digital Foundry roughly 4 hours of traversal and exploration to go from the opening village to the desert. He also noted that he hasn't felt this need to explore since RDR2 and Breath of the Wild.

Digital Foundry was not just sent a PS5 review code for Crimson Desert, they were sent a whole ass PS5 Pro with Crimson Desert already downloaded onto the console. Was this done so they could not test the game on base PS5 too?? Lol I have never heard of this happening before. 😂😂

Chiefs taking some 1 year fliers on external guys with skill sets to evolve the team is what they should have been doing for years.

Is anyone genuinely excited for this? Xbox just announced Project Helix as the codename for their next‑gen console. They’re promising top‑tier performance and full support for both Xbox and PC games in one ecosystem. I’ll still play their games on my PC since Game Pass already covers me there, but I’m curious what it would take for you to actually buy their new hardware. What would Xbox need to show for you to pick up their console instead of sticking with PC or PlayStation? A strong price? Real exclusives? Specs that actually justify the box over a high‑end rig? One of the features I really liked in Crimson Desert is you can fast forward through dialogue while still being able to understand the context, it's not a jump skip, but a time save
