New paper out! #AMPK regulates #ULK1 to balance #mitophagy of functional vs dysfunctional mitochondria in @MolecularCell. Great work from authors, especially Marianna Longo @AnikethBishnu and collaborators @Kei_Sakamoto @CarolMacKintos1. See it here: tinyurl.com/AMPK-ULK

Out Now! Updated story on #HRI kinase as a negative regulator of #PINK1 mitophagy. We now show that the small molecule ISR inhibitor #ISRIB boosts PINK1 activation. Collaboration with @LabGanley @Rousseau_Lab @mrcppu & @GlennMasson Click here for paper shorturl.at/G0IzL

Very excited to share our new article reporting that #PINK1 has an impact on mitochondrial homeostasis and basal levels of #mitophagy in mouse skeletal muscles, enabling to study the pathway in mammalian tissues without overt stresses.

It was a great pleasure to give a talk presenting my PhD work in @LabGanley at the joint @KeystoneSymp on #autophagy and #ubiquitin in disease. I had a fantastic time listening to some amazing talks and chatting to lots of interesting people.

It's great to see our latest story published online! This work has mainly been conducted by my first PhD student, Ailsa Black, who discovered that the ribosome-associated chaperone Zuo1 controls translation upon TORC1 inhibition.

NEW. We report on small molecule PINK1 activators that prevent the elevated levels of ubiquitin phosphorylation caused by mitochondrial damage. New insights on the future development of PINK1 activators as new treatments for Parkinson's disease. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
