@thecruice I’ve been writing emails like an AI before AI. Beautifully articulated concise and detailed then realized no one reads them….

What are we doing with clearly AI written email responses? Deleting them? Responding making fun of them? Minimal effort to not come off like a robot. Unless you’re a geologist, you have no excuse.

The engineering was completed on this one a while back, and fabrication is supposed to be completed this week. We’ll have to schedule the install with the client’s schedule (after the spring semester).

Submitted on some plate heat exchangers at a medical facility today: provide new and refurbish existing plates, pump mods, controls upgrades, insulation, and some pipe fitting with instrumentation. Phased construction. Solo bidder and at budget. Let’s see if they proceed.

10 years or so ago we were bidding a massive cooling water basin at a greenfield industrial facility. Weirdest baffle design I had ever seen underneath 120” intake pumps. So I spent 8 hours one night before the bid making a scale model out of cardstock so I could wrap my head around it. We won the job, and during the kickoff meeting I brought my model to the office to give to the project team. One of the supers laughed at my ‘arts and crafts project’, told me I liked men in different words then walked away. It disappeared from my office the next day, a month later I found it in his job trailer.

Anybody doing net positive or zero energy homes on here? An old side/hobby project I’ve hade for years that just builds dust. Who’s doing great things in the space that I can learn from and bounce ideas off?
