Cannot help but think Chelsea sacking Maresca was the worst footballing decision in recent memory.
I genuinely think Chelsea would have won the title next season with 2 Maresca driven signings (Centre Back, Winger).
People forget he had Chelsea competitive for 2 consecutive seasons, until injuries and poor squad planning piled up. Title was within reach during the first half of the season.

My thinking around this centres around what happens when De Ligt and Yoro are not available together (often).
Both Maguire and Lisandro are not the most mobile in the world.
The third choice should ideally be mobile so dynamics are not negatively impacted.

I am a big Harry Maguire fan. More than anyone over the years. But Manchester United need to move forwards with their first XI selection in line with the demands of the modern game. Their vertical compactness & athleticism suffers with him. De Ligt + Yoro is the way forwards.
