@DataChaz I used Gemini but sure they should all work. Hope things are good with you. 👍

I've been experimenting with using Deep Research to find link opportunities for eCommerce sites with solid results. Specifically looking for stockist / where-to-buy pages. Just export a list of your existing suppliers and wait for the opportunities to come in. 1/2

It's also a gold mine for sourcing new inventory specifically from supplies who will link to your site. These links are typically gold dust for eCommerce and can really move the needle.

@lilyraynyc Have you noticed GPT5 links to sources less frequently (unless it uses a Web search)?

Am I the only one who actually likes GPT-5 better so far? 💀 “Thinking” has been working well for me.

how to quickly reclaim AI search traffic from hallucinated URLs: 1. filter your website analytics to show JUST visits from AI assistants (Ahrefs' Web Analytics has a built-in "AI search" channel filter; if you use GA4 etc, you'll need to use regex) 2. select whatever time period you're interested in, and export your data to Google Sheets 3. ask ChatGPT to generate an Apps Script to return the http status for any given URL. head to Extensions -> Apps Script, paste and save your script 4. create a new column in your data, call your script and target the cell containing your URL, e.g. =GetHttpStatus(A2). apply to the whole column (this will take a while if you have many thousands of URLs) 5. filter your sheet to URLs returning a 404 status code AND >10 visitors (or whatever threshold you want) 6. set up a 301 redirect from the hallucinated URL to the best-fit page (e.g. /blog/keywords/ -> blog/keyword-research/) - assuming you have an appropriate page to redirect to voila! assuming you don't already have a bunch of 404s already on your site, most of these URLs will be hallucinated (it's also pretty interesting seeing the types of URLs LLMs EXPECT your brand to have!)

@lilyraynyc Easier to setup a Python environment for .csv processing and ask for the code instead. I just have a scratch folder for stuff like this and run directly from Pycharm.

The past 2 weeks with ChatGPT Me: please take this CSV file and do this basic thing with the data ChatGPT: no problem, done Me: this is bad. Most rows are empty and you didn’t do the thing I asked ChatGPT: “you’re absolutely right” (Yes, Claude or Gemini usually work better)

@iannuttall I honeslty haven't notice and I'm a heavy user. I used Opus for planning and Sonnet for implementation. Works insanely well. I find Opus amazing for the big picture planning, but slow with a tendancy to over complicate things.

Claude Code seems to have been a bit "dumber" the past few days and just making stupid mistakes. I legit would pay $500/mo to just have the good version that never gets a quantized/degraded during peak times!

I can't get Planning Mode working yet (Shift + Tab), but it feels much quicker than running through WSL. Also, images work!

I just spent 2+ hours chatting with Claude Desktop app to plan out a project before I build it. Using my own brain to ask questions, think about the features, the database schema, and the stack. I now have 3 incredibly detailed Markdown docs to give to Claude Code as context.

3 Claude Code tips that have been game-changing for me.. 1️⃣ Plan Mode (Shift + Tab) - research & analyse without making changes to your codebase 2️⃣ Context7 MCP server - fetch up-to-date code docs 3️⃣ Manual model selection - Opus for architecture, Sonnet for implementation
