@xAlexTHFC Good player happened years ago ffs I like to see him play for Spurs
English

The Tottenham Hotspur stadium would never allow him to play there
Arsenal on the other hand? They certainly have history 🤷♂️

🚨| #Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in signing Marseille forward Mason Greenwood. The French side have to make significant sales this summer, and Greenwood is their player believed to have the highest value. @lequipe on @GFFN

@PaRaLlEx99 The games changed have we got any proper wingers anymore some who picks ball up takes on the defender goes round them and crosses the ball ? instead of going up defender stopping passing back or sideways coming inside and shooting ( only ones I can think of Doku and Semaneyo )

I’m bet if Konsa played for one of the ‘bigger clubs’ in England, he wouldn’t have been as panned into the reviews from last night as he has been. Sure it wasn’t his best performance, but you’d think he absolutely stank the place out reading some of them! #avfc 🟣🔵

@VictoryOwai What where you watching him, Gordon and James where terrible in the first half not much better in the second half tbf 😳

How can anyone watch Noni Madueke's performances at this World Cup and still question why Thomas Tuchel picked him ahead of Palmer and Foden?
Against Croatia, Madueke was absolutely electric in the first half. Every time he got the ball, he looked like he could make something happen. His pace, directness, willingness to attack defenders one-on-one, and ability to drive the team up the pitch caused Croatia all sorts of problems. He wasn't just keeping possession or playing safe passes. He was constantly asking questions of the opposition defence.
This is exactly why managers sometimes choose profiles over names. Football isn't always about picking the most technically gifted player or the biggest star. It's about balance and having players who offer something different. Madueke gives England a level of explosiveness and vertical threat that neither Palmer nor Foden consistently provides from wide areas.
Palmer is a fantastic creator. Foden is a superb technical player. But when you need a winger who can stretch a defence, beat his man with raw speed, carry the ball 30 or 40 yards up the pitch and create chaos in transition, Madueke is currently offering more of that.
The debate shouldn't be about disrespecting Palmer or Foden. They're top players. But on current World Cup evidence, Tuchel's decision makes perfect sense. Madueke has been rewarding that trust with performances that directly impact games.
Sometimes football is as simple as this: pick the player whose qualities best suit what the team needs. Right now, Madueke is showing exactly why he deserves his place.

🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on Messi’s career ending tackle overlooked by VAR and the referee ;
🗣️”After the match yesterday all you see is Messi’s praises everywhere, the hype, the headlines, the hat-trick talk. Yeah, maybe he deserves some of it — the lad can still play.
But no one wants to say the truth. No one wants to address what went wrong yesterday.
That challenge was an absolute disgrace. Late, studs up, straight into the Achilles — career-ending territory. On any other player, anywhere else, it’s a straight red card and you’re marching off before half-time. But not when it’s Messi.
The referee bottles it, VAR takes a quick look and says ‘nah, carry on lad.’ Give me a break!
This is the World Cup, the biggest stage in the game. This is where the rules are supposed to mean something. Not bent, not softened, not ignored because of the name on the back of the jersey. Players have been sent off for half as much in this tournament. Where’s the consistency? Do the laws of the game suddenly not apply when it’s Lionel Messi?
This is why the game’s gone soft. Big names get protected, the rest get crucified. Absolute joke of officiating on the greatest stage of all.”

@Superspurs1982 Greenwood £30 -£50 mill instead of Savinho or even a cheeky bid for Marmaroush

🚨🎙️ Gabby Agbonlahor, who was RELEGATED with Aston Villa can’t understand why Tonali would want to join #THFC: 🤦♂️
“Why would Tonali want to go to a TOP 17 side? They’re not a top six side anymore”
Nice to see Gabby completely ignore the reports that say Tonali is open to joining and WANTS to play under RDZ…👍

@CarlWillDurham @RobertJenrick How come people who never paid NI get the same as people who have ?
English

Just listening to @RobertJenrick excellent press confetence then last question about triple lock
When will these morons start to understand the state pension is not a benefit We who retired have all paid national insurance payments for over 40 years to cover our retirement . People can argue we get more money out than we put in which in many cases is questionable but inflation has happened and I guarantee for even the lowest paid have paid an equal amount as a percentage of their pre inflation wages as anyone pays today. Life in this country has never been easy and if many today had to go back onto the 50s or 60s and see how our pensioners hsd to work and their living conditions they would have a fit
But the crowning answer is that many of the greedy who dont want pensioners to be paid the pension which is one of the lowest in the world should hold their heads in shame as in so many cases the pounds and pence pensioners receive per week thanks to the triple lock is less than so many receive per hour as their get wage increases

@kevinhatchard And the players should be kept away from the manger, staff and subs and no instructions it’s a drink break
English

Lots of hate for the hydration breaks, and rightly so. Purely done for ad revenue. If it’s hot enough for a drinks break, it shouldn’t take more than 60 seconds. Wretched. #WorldCup
English

@ioangrillo Don’t mind the heat break but players should go into their own penalty area and re hydrate with no manager , staff giving instructions….
English

@higgyboson Don’t forget she’s probably done a bit of plumbing and plastering in between going to parliament

@IraolasRedz Why, wouldn’t sing for this king ,anthem is about the monarchy not the country
